Why could not they transfer old group content (( Links, posts, pics... and which is worst - members. I'm not sure all the former and-or inactive members will rejoin us.  

 

It will take some time to get used to the new UI. The bright side - we've got multiquote and img! Yahoo! No need to type tags any longer. ))

'Official' reply from Jessica was about old groups being non-moderated and 'not safe' to transfer them into new forum. Does not make much sense, if you ask me. They existed for ages, and one could always report 'bad' content.

 

I also miss my PM conversations, a lot. Those had nothing to do with moderation and policies, all the user base was transferred anyway, they could've  done something about it...

 

Also, looks like all the blogs are gone (read-only for now). From what I remember - we had a unique 'Kaidan ME3 banter guide' by Laikabaws. I think it worth saving, may be we should copy-paste and pin it here for those who were unfamiliar with laika's awesome job?

Edit: I see you've found out about the moderation...   They could, but did not, since the old groups were Un-moderated and these new ones are --or can be-- moderated. That's according to Bioware during the AMA on Reddit. I suggest we keep away from Shenko NSFW fanfic/pictures until I know more on what we can and can't do within the new rules. 

 

Edit two: Great idea Nrieh.  I work on getting that moved over to a news item or something.

I dunno, and I don't wan the group banned.    As the owner I can moderate posts so maybe that's what BW means... I can't believe they have enough people to moderate all groups but what do I know. 

 

I'm not sure how to assign co-owners or whatever you want to call them on the groups.

I can't believe they have enough people to moderate all groups but what do I know. 

I don't know, that post from reddit was a strange one. She said, that reason for not transferring our old groups was lack of moderation, she also was talking about 'privacy' and 'security'.

 

the groups you have on BSN now will continue to be active and preserved. However, they have been historically un-moderated and it's not safe to convert them to the new forums. And I'm going to stick with my original statement about security and privacy.

 

That's logical to assume, that 'safe' groups should be moderated. Somehow. Else why would she even talk about moderation? 

 

Jessica had never been a reliable source, though. I wish we had our Evil Chris with us. Never thought, that I would miss him, but he was better at community management.

If you like what you see, here's a little guide for Google Chrome users.

1) Nab and install Change Colors, an add-on for Google Chrome.
2) Right-click the new icon in your address bar and select Options.
3) Input the following values in the colour boxes:
Background colour: 323232
Text colour: 9E9E94
Links colour: D09448
Visited links colour: D09448 (making these display differently make certain elements look screwy)
4) Return to the forums tab and left-click the same icon in your address bar as before, select Apply override on this domain

Is there anyone familiar with ME2 triggers and variables? 

I need to know which one exactly triggers the Horizon letter, and whether we can access it somehow via gibbed (other than simply flagging ME1 ongoing romance).

This knew place isn't so bad aside from the glaring white background. I can finally have the avatar I always wanted too. It seems a lot more user friendly, but some things I haven't figured out yet...

The white background is pretty not great. Some things are easier to do (like the profile pictures), but I don't really get why they couldn't have just updated the old forums.

The underlying code of the old forums was probably very dated.  There are ways to change it if you have Chrome or FireFox and there is a campaign requesting BW add a "dark theme" as well that I suggest everyone who'd like the option to go in and support.
