I know I'm late with that, but congratulations to you people! party.gif

I have no idea what it feels like, but I know that it's very important to you all.

Unfortunately we seem to move right in the opposite direction. During the last year I've seen and heard things I've never though I'd ever encounter again after 1991. Everyone is affected, not only LGBT. They censor dances, plays and movies, they close and ban theaters, forbid the rock shows, mostly with the 'orthodox traditional values' mottoes and banners. Military 'patriotic' propaganda everywhere ('Fight the Enemy!111'), it's like mass hysteria. It might have been fun to look at in the beginning, but now it's literally scary.

Oh wow. I'm really sorry to hear that, Nrieh. Censoring dances? How does that help anyone? It's truly disappointing. I hope it blows over sooner than later.

I wish I knew the answer. One of those episodes became widely known even outside the country. A teen dancing studio was officially closed after performing the 'twerking bees & the bear' dance, someone had considered that 'inappropriate'. But that's just a single case, there are more to count. As I've already said - it might seem ridiculous or funny, but it's disturbing to say the least.

One of the most recent things - we've got a new TV show, each and every night a shabby man has 30 minutes to talk about how evil and bad US and EU are and what 'really happens' in Ukraine. I could probably live with that if the channel was anything other than 'Moscow 24' - a local 'city' channel, that is supposed to tell me about our own local life, traffic, city news, where to take my kids etc. It used to be like that not so long ago.

Doodle!

What's the new race like?

Lets see, they're not bad, but they're the new Miqo'te everyone is one.

overrated.

SO MUCH FUN

they're a type of "Time mage" one would say, not the whole "cast haste on party, and see things die" more or less use tarot casts for buffs (there is no bad card for the sake of balance)

they can buff damage, defence, attack speed, cooldown reduction on those really long ability spells like "swiftcast" for example, they can also reduce MP and TP costs

they do have these sort of "time" based abilities, but all they do is increase the duration of buffs you've given to a party member.

can't buff other teams self abilities, paladins would be broken with Hallowed ground, 25 seconds of taking 0 damage is OP

Doodles!  Looks like you've been having fun.   Hmm, that sounds like WoW Shaman's except for the whole "no bad card" part since there were so many nearly useless totems.

Hey, it's scary from the outside too!   Sounds like the propaganda is trying to further the divide between Russia and EU/USA.  :(

Sooo...our local currency had dropped into some deep&dark place, and the BW store had delayed the lithograph shipping.  Again. It's possibly 31.08 now (used to be 09.08 and 24.08). I don't think I'll get it before the Xmas.

So many reasons for disappointments, really.

Oh, and totally killing off the 'off-topic' BSN sub-forums? That was a bad idea too. Hopefully we won't get some extra evil mods into our group.

Oh my!  The order had changed its status to 'shipped'. I've just got e-mail with the confirmation.

No tracking number, though. It says that USPS 1st class is not supposed to have one.

Yeah! I got mine too! Nice.

Mine has a tracking number, but it's coming UPS. I thought USPS got a tracking number too though.

Question time.  While searching the aether for mshenko stuff I keep finding "Cal Shepard".  Several people seem to name their non-Sheploo characters "Cal Sphepard", both male and female.  Where did this character come from?

I don't think I've ever heard if Cal. I can't think of any reason people'd all name their Shepard the same either actually.

Oh well, maybe I'm creating some pre-Andromeda drama for myself.  Hmmm....  I wonder if the character face designer thingy can make a Kaidan lookalike.

Maybe that should be anDRAMA duh.

Very unlikely, all the characters had been created outside the CC (default Sheps included).  There's a 'Kaidan' mod for ME2, however. And (probably) for ME3 as well.

I keep finding "Cal Shepard".

I've never heard the name. The most typical and default is supposed to be  'John'\'Jane' (which are the default ones). I think I've seen some sort of name statistics\telemetry from BW, but it's been too long, I won't recall the url.

My lithograph is scheduled to arrive in a couple days, nice!

I, too, have never heard of the Cal Shepard trend.

Mine must be crossing the Atlantic somehow. I'm not expecting the delivery to arrive before October.

Sheesh, it must be on a boat or something.

Mine says it's gonna get here today, but we'll see. Sometimes that still takes a couple days.

I found the name list, and Cal is not on it.  I'm going to take a wild guess that among a small group of people who read each other's fanfic, Cal has become a common name to use for non-standard Shepards.

That seems like a plausible explanation. I don't really read any fanfiction, especially if it obviously deviates from my head canon.

My lithograph arrived yesterday. I didn't really pay attention to the dimensions when I ordered it. It's bigger than I expected. Now to find a suitable frame.

Finally!!!

yahoo.gif

Major Alenko had arrived!

(I wish I had an omnitool, cause it took me 5 mins, a kitchen knife and pliers to remove those clips)

Number is 219\500.

Looks good. Great actually, and much better than I expected. I think I even know where to put it, but not sure about the framing yet. It does not really need one, but I can't just stick it to the wall, right?

Congratz! And yeah, you can't just stick it o the wall. It needs something awesome. I'm still trying to get my hands on a frame too.

Took me forever to get those clips out too. Maybe there's a secret to it.

Those clips were annoying! I struggled with them, too. Luckily, mine arrived just before Labor Day, so the frame I bought was on sale for ten bucks. Mine is number 110/500. I bought mine day one, so that means there were 109 people quicker than me, right? That actually makes me happy.

And yeah, seeing it in person is a different deal than seeing it digitally. It looks much better that I thought it would.
