That's interesting.I never played SWTOR, but I know some people that really love it. Is the story bioware-esque?

The class stories in SWTOR are pretty good and leveling one per faction would be good for you to try.  It's free.

Stoic, well, I'll have to give them a shot.  Always like good stories in games, http://stoicstudio.com/

Man oh man! Any Smash Bros. fans in the group?

I'm so excited about the recent announcements made on Nintendo Direct, particularly that Zelda and Sheik are separated! I main Zelda. I'm thrilled that she is a stand-alone character now! :D

There was a lot of speculation about the Phantom Knight. I thought it was an Assist Trophy. I'm so glad I was wrong. And the way it was implemented into her moveset was better than I was envisioning. I can't wait to see what strategies open up for her now!

Also, side note: Just finally got around to playing Pokémon Y. I'm glad that the male trainer isn't as derpy looking as I thoughtat least once you unlock some of the customization options. Team Flare is really stupid, though.

i'"m a big fan, i so gonna get the Wii U version, I really liked what they showed, just slightly disappointed that we have to wait till xmas ;o;

I hear so much about it from people on tumblr. I've just never really been into sci-fi MMOs. Not a fan of the art style either :/

I really hate having to wait that long. Definitely picking up the 3DS version, but I'll probably get the Wii U one too actually...

I'm definitely getting the Wii U version, but will most likely get the 3DS version due to impatience.

you can always play it as a single, just ignore that MMO part. I think I've mentioned already, that it should've been a sp game, like DAO, with different classes and origins.

The bad thing is that they have too many stupid restrictions in f2p. Even being 'preferred' does not help much. Many of those restrictions are cosmetic and-or UI-related, but I find most of them very annoying and I do not play without an active sub. No, really, I've payed for the client month after release, I've payed my share of sub, and now I need to pay something for turning my helmet off and for getting my quick-slot bar back?..

You're kidding! That's pretty silly. But can you go through the whole story just F2P? Maybe I can just deal with that crap.

Bahahaha! Well I'm only on chp 11, but yeah ;)

No limits on story content - that's 100%. Only tons of silly (and annoying) mini-restrictions.

Most of them can be unlocked for in-game currency (cartel coins or creds if someone resells it on the market), all of them can be unlocked via cash-shop. I told you about two most obvious ones. Game has very huge problems with hat design (for both factions and all classes), and you're running out of quick-slots on your bars pretty fast. Not game-breaking, but critical somewhere closer to 30-40 lvls.  Limits on selling items via in-game market, limits on wearing 'purple'(elite) mods, slower xp gain, getting your vehicle later than subs and prefs, few space missions per week etc etc.

You can check the full restriction list on their site. As I already mentioned - personally I prefer to pay a sub for a full-access month than unlocking all that sith.

Yeah, Ash, you can just go F2P and just play it mostly as a SP game.  The class and faction stories are pretty good, they can get redundant when you level a 2nd character per faction.  There is class specific missions per planet, but isn't the bulk of the leveling experience.

For those who care - GOG.com has Unreal, Unreal Tournament GOTY and Unreal 2 on sale ($2.50 each).

I've lost my disks many years ago, and I'm going to get UT and, may be U2 too.

Among all the FPS, I still believe that those are the greatest ones. Ever.

Finished 'Remember Me'.

I loved everything about this game but frustrating  QTE-involving boss-fights and the way they had ported controls for keyboard+mouse.

Controls are bad. Very-very bad. It was obviously written for gamepads. Then they remapped console keys to k+m and kept all the pop-up cnsole UIs. Hello, why would I rotate my camera with a 'special button', if I've got my mouse?! Which is worse - they did not fix all the hints and tutorials, I can think of some moments, when a tip suggested that I move something with a stick (wut?). And the most 'brilliant' tutorial moment suggested...rotating my mouse. I mean...it's a mouse, right? People do not usually rotate them...

Other than this control-fighting issue, that's a great game. It has fascinating art and style, it has good music, nice characters, great plot and perfect ending.  I wish it had more decent combat and less frustrating bosses, but I'm glad that I've played it.

@Mimi I'd like to hear from you if you ever play it! From the very beginning I had a feeling that it has something 'French' about it (I mean not only the fact, that it takes place in Neo-Paris). I loved that 'french accent' about the art, characters etc. I wonder what a native player might think about it.

ps: I want ho send million hugs to a person who had created the word 'Errorist'.

I'm currently playing real-life-is-too-FUBAR-to-game...   I don't recommend it.

I've been sucked into Thief, despite my misgivings about being forced to play a guy with no chin.  :P  I'm finishing up the side quests before heading to what I assume is the ending.  That asylum level freaked me out, as I started it late at night and up by myself.  I made for half an hour before I had to shut it off and pick it up again in the morning.

Speaking of creepy, I did pick up Dead Space and played the first two chapters.  The beginning was creepy as hell but by the end of the first chapter I was mostly over that and annoyed by power outages and dark hallways, except the babies.  That's just wrong.

That sucks. Hope stuff cools off soon. I mean, the steam summer sale is coming soon.

Nrieh!

What's the story about?

Doodle!

Lol.

What's the story about?

Hard to say. People? Love? Everything?..

It's futuristic Neo-Paris, 2058. The main heroine is a memory-hunter, a person that can hack and mix people's minds. They have a tech that allows one to alter and store memories same as we do with files. She has some friends, and some enemies as well. It's hard to say more without spoiling, really.

Thief isn't generally creepy but that level was very well done.  I'm enjoying it so much in general because the less you're seen and the fewer people you kill the better you're doing.  I suck at sneaking but it's fun running around on rooftops and breaking into places.

@Nrieh

I'm not sure if I'd pick it up. I saw some things in a trailer I wasn't really impressed with, but maybe I'll try it if I find it on the cheap.

Oh I like that kind of game. Tried the new MGS and was sorely disappointed (it's not a real game). It'd be good to get into a new sneaky game ;D

From what I remember not everything in a trailer is an actual in-game content.

All I say that it's totally worth playing, especially with a discounts. I think steam is going to put it on their summer sale.

And think I'm going to try Mars:war logs.
