Well even if it's a bad game, co op always makes it better. Bad co op games are usually a blast :D

I generally play horror games as navigator/pilot style anyway though. They still scare me. I'm a chicken.

My friends love playing horror games with me because they love my reactions...and since I rarely swear I instead come out with lines like "Oh God!!!"

They sacrificed me in L4D2 once, on a part of the level when you need to through the sewers, they convinced me to go forward first, and would you know it a Tank spawns, throws a boulder at me, I'm downed, and then they decide to throw a molotov on top of me to try and hurt the Tank before it climbs up to them

I was not impressed :P

Scary Movies strangely don't bother me, I mean things might make me jump but I have no verbal response, I think its being in direct control in a horror game is when I start to get fearful and scared xD

So far Silent Hill 2 is  the only creepy game I've seen (with some bits of Silent Hill 3, may be, but it did not impress me that much, 4th was just bad). We played it together with my former boyfriend. I remember one time when we decided to go to the kitchen for snacks together, Because it was late and DARK, and we were all alone in our apartment, you know.

AS for movies, I can only think of the first 'Blair Witch'. But I was too young back then.  Zombies, vampires and such had never scared me.

Man, y'all must have nerves of steel. Movies scare me like crazy. Certain ones anyhow.

Silent Hill 2 is my favorite scary game of all time. Loved it. The game was brilliant. I never played 3, but I loved 4! It mighta helped that we played it in the same setting as the game...I was terrified to step into the hall that night! Ugh, those Victims were terrifying, man. Gyah!

The first lady was horrible. She was just horrible.

Silent Hill 2 is my favorite scary game of all time. Loved it. The game was brilliant. I never played 3, but I loved 4!

The only thing I loved about 4 was it's music. Because - Akira Yamaoka. But even in that part both SH2 and SH3 are better. Very few tracks that could compare with old tracks like 'True' (2) or 'Dance with the Night Wind' (3) 4 had 'Room of angel', but it's not as good as this song (those  damn lyrics...). And we could only hear it in promo trailer afair.

Well, and the ringing phone episode was interesting. Probably, that's the only moment I can recall from that game.

I did not like, that they had taken away the mysterious and psychological part, SH2 was anything but 'generic' zombie-monster-shooter. Each plot and character had...something. It was about 'personalized hell' if you know what I mean.

3rd one had much more video effects (and that's when first GeForce-s appeared). It had some REALLY ugly and creepy moments, that made you shiver, but overall plot was not interesting at all.  4rth one reminded me of some low-budget horror movies.  They say that 5th was good, but I've never seen it myself.

Oh man, Room of Angel was the creepiest ever. That's one of my favorites, but I can't listen to it much. Now I wanna try out 3! Silent Hill music is always good. My favorites from 4 are Cradle of Forest, Your Rain, and Waiting For You( My favorite silent hill track ever). You can check them all out at http://www.silenthil...sh4_osts_en.htm

It's got all the music actually.

The singer is amazing. I really love her. She voiced Helba in .hack if anybody remembers that.

I thought SH4 was just plain fun. I always hated coming back to the room. I was terrified we'd get haunted.

If anyone hasn't played SH2, y'all have got to play it. Of course, we're building it up and y'all probably won't think it's that great :P

Agreed.

Just have in mind, that you need to find the original version! There was a recent HD remake, but they failed. They had replaced old VAs, and high-res textures were not even remotely close to the old ones. For some reason KONAMI did not provide the studio with source files, and they literally had to remake most of the game.

Old PC version had a decent port, even 'director's cut' was available (I can't remember how legal that copy was, though)

SH3 is totally worth seeing, but I still believe that SH2 was the best one. By the way. Ash, there is a HD version of SH3 as well. I've seen the compared shots, and I highly not recommend it.

What? Why in the world did they need to do another version if they couldn't make it better. So crazy.

Sadly, I just checked all the originals on amazon and they're stupid expensive. The PC SH3 seems reasonable. Never played them on PC though.

I got DS & DS3, both free (DS3 for beeing a early buyer of Sim City "online").

But won't play them for now, too much game to do.

And I finally decided to play TESO, 2 MMO, time consumming XD

I'm still not sure where Yoshida wants to go with FFXIVARR & I'm disappointed a little more at every update :s. Now the atma farm on FATE, really, that's the dubbest idea I've ever see in any game...

In some other news, I saw that Alistair's voice is recording for DA:I! Now I'm a little more excited about the game !

Next game I'm waiting, (like a child XD) is MK8, omg the new trailer with N64 rainbow road's music, so much memories!!! The game sound reeally great, BF & irl friends are really excited too, irl friend & I've  known each other since college & we were big Mario Kart nerds :P (especially MK64 since it was the first we could play at 4 players ^^)

(i need to learn how to put video in post here @@)

No one knows, I'm afraid. That release was full of mysterious and stupid things. Like, they did not bother to contact original VAs and mocap actors, which was a serious copyrights violation. James' actor found out about that release from his twitter.  They had to revoice BOTH games, but as you can imagine fans were not happy about those alterations. I have no idea what were they thinking, because somethgin tells me that paying royalties to the old crew was the cheapest solution.  They had to include both versions of SH2 on released disk anyway, it has an option to chose the voicing.  Konami had to pay twice.

Sadly, SH3 only has the new sound set. Which worse, SH3 had some changes in  dialogues. No one knows why, Subs remained same. Many minor changes in sound design (new effects, lack of old effects or music). Many tech glitches.

Both games suffer from horrible redrawn textures and poor lighting. Like that FOG you remember from the very beginning of SH2? It's gone. You see the map edges, distant objects etc. All the textures are sharp and clean, new washed roads and clean houses. You can google the screens and compare it yourself.

Man, I'm so waiting for that game too! I can't wait for it. It's been too long without a new mario kart.

It looks pretty bad. That's the worst part. You can't just take the fog away. I really can't believe they thought that was acceptable.

Nice, I haven't yet tried to attach a vid but I'll remember that.

As for games... I've so busy hardly had time.  The next game I'm looking forward too is really DA3... still on the fence about it and I'm not even sure my hardware will run it.

I finished Banner:Saga yesterday night. I really enjoyed it, it certainly has some flaws (like couple of strange plot moments and one of the most tedious endgame boss-fights), but it's good. Characters, dialogues, music, stylish art. Combat has a balanced learning curve, 'easy' is really easy, normal is good and hard is for those who like tactic challenges. Many small decisions have  consequences within the game. Greater choices are supposed to be carried over into the second part.

I'm not sure it's possible to get a 'perfect' PT, but I'd recommend not to read any spoilers before playing.  I could give some basic spoiler-free helpful tips.

Imo, it's a must-play game for anyone, who is not indifferent to the 'northern' myths and legends (Kalevala, Beowulf, Poetic Edda). Some creatures and motives can be recognized, but the setting itself is very genuine, not like anything I've seen.

I guess, that was my best random steam sale purchase. I did not expect that much from it.

So it's got a Beowulf style theme going on? Nordic stuff? I checked it out on Steam and it looks pretty good. If it goes on sale again, I'm gonna try it.

All the 'vibe' is absolutely 'Nordic', yes. It was inspired by those legends, but setting is not a mere Beowulf or Edda clone.  It's same with DA or ME - each has many 'borrowings', but you can see it's unique and has 'certain something'.

By the way, I found out that 'Stoic' studio are actually ex-BW, that's part of SWTOR team which had left to make their own game.

That's interesting.I never played SWTOR, but I know some people that really love it. Is the story bioware-esque?

In nintendo news, Charizard and Greninja are gonna be in the new Smash game. I'm not too excited, but I do like that they're adding more pokemon. Anybody gonna snag either version? We're probably gonna get both the 3DS, and the Wii U version.

Man oh man! Any Smash Bros. fans in the group?

I'm so excited about the recent announcements made on Nintendo Direct, particularly that Zelda and Sheik are separated! I main Zelda. I'm thrilled that she is a stand-alone character now! :D

There was a lot of speculation about the Phantom Knight. I thought it was an Assist Trophy. I'm so glad I was wrong. And the way it was implemented into her moveset was better than I was envisioning. I can't wait to see what strategies open up for her now!

Also, side note: Just finally got around to playing Pokémon Y. I'm glad that the male trainer isn't as derpy looking as I thoughtat least once you unlock some of the customization options. Team Flare is really stupid, though.

It's craziness! I really didn't see any of it coming! I'm really excited for this one. I don't even know who I'm gonna play as anymore.

I'm not as big a zelda fan, but yeah, I can't believe they made them two characters!

I'm really looking forward to playing the Animal Crossing Villager, Charizard, and Little Mac. I'm gonna be so sad if Ike doesn't come back though. Or oh dang, if they brought back Roy! I'd be so happy.

Oh snap!

He's really pretty stylish once you get all the clothes. I was pretty happy with the options. The trainer girl gets some really awesome stuff too. I thought it was gonna be all wacky stuff, but you can make them look good. Only trouble is you have to keep that damn hat.

Send me your friend code if you ever wanna trade or battle ;D

Truth be told, Team flare IMO is the worst pokémon "team" villains ever

i will refrain from saying anything else for the sake of spoilers.

I have eight badges and I'm waiting to challenge the elite four until I decide on what team I want to use. It's taking a while. I started playing during my spring break, but since school started up again I haven't had too much time to play.

Remember Me. The game that made me regret that I don't have a gamepad. It had obviously never been designed for a K+M controls. Also - checkpoint saves system.  I like the art and style so far, but a lot of platform jumping and wall climbing combined with those controls and 'click them to death' combo-based combats make me doubt I'll finish it.

Which is pity, because it seem to have a story. And it also has a preset female character that does not look like Lara Croft. Not to mention that it uses UE, and I have plenty of warm feelings about that engine.
