Has anyone seen if there's a default inquisitor face?

They've shown us a bunch of CC presets, but looks like there is no  'canon' face so far. They also show him\her wearing helmet in demos and art. I like it.  No badass brown-haired bearded guys with a dirty nose this time. ))

Lol. What the hell was that nose splotch anyway? I loved default Femhawke, but I'm ok if there's not one this time around.

I always thought it was strange that they're always wearing helmets when they show them, but I guess that means there isn't going to be a default. No biggie.

He might already have some of those skills. I doubt one can entirely respec NPC (other than via some sort of editor),

Well you Could in both DA:O and DA2

Well not so much DA:O more of DA:A

In DA:A a merchant outside of your keep will tell a tome that will reset the skill tree and IIRC The Black Emporium DLC in DA2 had a similar tome to reset skills,

Might have a similar tome in DA:I

those are all DLC \ expansion  items. DAO had only mods. And I can't remember DA2 emporium something working with companions. Not to mention that companion skillsets were limited anyway (e.g. no spirit magic for Merill or no archery for Isabella). In DAO, however one could potentially progress companions any way one saw fit.

Ooh, congrats! Maybe you can tell us your overall impression (thumbs up/down). That should be safe to talk about, right?

Origin is currently gives away 'Dragon Age Origins' for free, but with no DLC included.

As for Keep - I'm not sure which one is safe to tell. :)

It does look great and promising.

It has cool art and an option to hear\watch a short summary movie(voiced!) based  on your own tale about the events of DAO+DA2. Plenty of variables and flags are already involved, and they keep adding more. Some of them were really unexpected, to be honest. I have no idea what impact they may (or may not) have on DAI PT, but they are in the Keep.

All the major plot choices are there too, of course. Romances included. ;)  I also had a feeling that some of those flags are impossible to import from the previous DAO-DA2 PTs, but it could be just me having trouble to figure how could they possibly know THAT about my Hawke\Warden?

It is connected to the Origin account, and one can share his\her world-states with friends. All of you who had friended me - I can already see you all on my 'Keep friends' list. :)  It's possible to store several of those states, but we don't know yet whether it's possible to change them 'on the fly', my guess is that it's only possible to pick one as you start your DAI game, but I might be wrong about it.  Old save files are not involved (which, I believe, had already been stated, so I'm not breaking anything by saying that).

I could probably answer some questions (or may be not, depends on questions).

The information you provided is good enough for me. I want to honor the NDA, and I can't really think of good questions anyway since I'm not terribly familiar with the world of Dragon Age.

But I'm glad you like it!  :)

I just wanna know if it actually works with the game.

That's what we all want to know! But we're only testing the service itself. How it grabs, stores and handles the data. It's hard to test DAI import without, well, DAI. ;)  Hopefully BW has their own team on it.

I'm not terribly familiar with the world of Dragon Age.

You should probably avoid it on your first PT. Default worldstates are going to be enough to play the game itself.

Those flags and names won't mean anything to you, but it DOES content all the possible heavy DAO+DA2 spoilers.

I already asked this of Ash, but I may as well ask everyone else who is playing DA:I. When you recruit Dorian, can you tell me what skills he starts with? Are they different if you recruit him at different stages of the game?

@L2 Sentinel I haven't met him yet, but I will tell you once I get there. Just have in mind, that I'm a slow player. Yesterday night realized that I had played for 7 hours and I barely got any plot progress, lol.   :)

Thanks, NRieh! Take all the time you need! I'm in no rush. I was just asking for when you happen to get to that point, I'd love to know.  ;)

I'm in the same boat as Nrieh. The first area is full of sidequests. Like, 10 hours of sidequests. Seriously. I'm about to go get him though. I think. I just got the mage lady Vivienne.

Go at your own pace and play things in the same order you usually would. I don't want to influence your playthrough, I was just curious about Dorian, and if you happened to have any info handy I'd love to hear it. That's all. Thanks! <3

I'm not 100% sure yet, but from my experience with previous companions they join you unspecced. Sera and Blackwall were like that, no points distributed, which was kinda strange because she had her bow during her intro. As for Dorian himself, Ive seen him, yet he had not joined me yet. Nice guy, probably not my cup of tea, but seems written well enough. He's David Gaider's. :)

From what I've learned about Dorian so far, he's definitely no substitute for Kaidan Alenko, but that's no reason not to play the game. If I waited for another companion like Kaidan to come along, I may never play another game.  ;)

If you haven't got it by now...

i think you might, nevertheless,

Dorian does not have any points in necromancy when you get him.

now if i can only find the items needed for my own specialization i'd be a happy mage

Lol, I definitely found those specialization quests a bit annoying. I really thought they'd be grab and go gopher quests.

Here's my favorite DAI team. I just can't use anybody else, lol.ScreenshotWin32_0632_Final.png

I do miss Cassandra and Varric though. They're good too. And Solas and Sera are hilarious.

I still just started. Spent more time making my character than actually playing the game. Took me four tries to get my Inquisitor to look the way I want him to. Here he is:

10520899_10152669712136137_2445202890587

Time for some noob questions!

So, I just got to the Hinterlands, and the first thing I find are apostates. I wanted to ask the mages to help the Inquisition; I don't want to fight them. Are they just trash mobs or does killing the apostates I run into have story consequences?

Also, what's the fastest way to recruit Dorian and Sera? I want to maximize my time with them and get them in the party asap.

@AshTheBrave Everyone seems to have this screenshot, and I can't even recognize the moment!

I'm on my second run currently. First one took 90+ hours.

Also, what's the fastest way to recruit Dorian and Sera? I want to maximize my time with them and get them in the party asap.

There's no "fast ways' unless you want to skip all the optional content and run for the main plot only. Which I'd not recommend. Just do not forget that you don't have to clear out all the side-missions at once! Hinterlands are really huge, and most of those are 100% optional.

Do not worry, they're going to meet you soon enough. Sera comes slightly earlier.

Are they just trash mobs or does killing the apostates I run into have story consequences?

Those are trash mobs, yeah. And I want to hurt that person who came up with the idea of giving Anders' iconic outfit to the 'no-name-generic-apostate' mob, really.  You'll get an opportunity to support the mages later in game (if you want to).

Nrieh!

Lol, that's my wallpaper right now and everyone asks that. I guess it's not as obvious as I thought. I'll pm you.

And I thought it was so ridiculous that all the apostates were wearing Anders' outfit. I guess it was a fashion statement?

Bro!

I'd say be careful about spending too much time on optional quests. Do a spattering of story and side quests. Use your gamer's intuition, lol. And yeah, the Hinterlands are huge and those quests aren't going anywhere. If you're tired of them, then move on.
