half the time i'm exploring, i feel like i'm playing skyrim....

 

mostly with the "try to continuously jump until you get higher" part

Bahaha. Yeah and the horse works sometimes when your legs won't, same as Skyrim.

 

Also, sometimes just slowly walking up the cliff works too. Annoying though.

Okay, so I just got the specialist trainers. I thought I had to maybe do a loyalty mission with a companion to learn their specialization, but I guess I have to train with these guys.

I'm a little confused. Do I only get to pick one? I wanted to be a mix of Artisan/Tempest. Is that not possible?
 

Knight enchanter was a lot of fun. Does it still have its combo? I heard they changed it.

 

I'm a rift mage this time around. I miss Knight Enchanter.

Does this mean you can't respec once you've chosen? Sad times!

By artisan do you mean artificer? If they're both specializations, then you can only pick one. And the only thing you can respec is your ability points. The best you can do is make a save point before and look at all the skills.

Well that's a bummer! Now I have to choose between alchemy and engineering. 

I'm also really sad there are no crossbows in the game besides Bianca. The weapons selection in general is pretty disappointing.

At least the visuals and story are good.

Well i did not expect to fight a dragon. wander to another tower of sorts, to fight a entirely new dragon with 2 potions and 3 half hp party members from the previous dragon...

 

 

and then i did not expect to find a 3rd...

Hmmm. Artificer isn't much of an engineering spec. I asked a friend if there was a rogue spec that used cool gadgets to fight, and she recommended Artificer, but all it is is two traps, and I wanted a full on tinkerer. I should have known it was a bad sign when the trainer laughed at me when I said "Let's get to tinkering." Douche.

So I guess that means I will be an alchemist! The abilities seem a lot more interesting anyway, even it sounds like I'll have to switch to melee to use it properly.

Note: The 3rd dragon is dead. Cassandra OP (she literally tanked the entire fight at near death, and only died once when dragon was at 10% hp)

 

Also Knight Enchanter OP, all i gotta do is mash my blade button and fights are won.

 

 

 

Also i love the item Silverite, allows me to craft Heavy armour (warrior gear) and it removes the class restriction HORRAY, i can wear something other then robes!

 

 

Edit: Also got my revenge on a dragon. surprisingly easy. was weak to spirit. dealing 900+ damage with my spirit sword (2500 when the shield is up) is really really strong.

I f it's like the alchemist in multiplayer, then it's pretty fun.

Cassandra's my main tank. I use Blackwall occasionally, and Iron Bull only a couple of times.

Well, I just consummated my relationship with Dorian. It's... I don't know. It feels really hollow compared to Kaidan. I'm trying not to compare this game to Mass Effect every step of the way, but it's hard to forget the impact Mass Effect has on me.

It's very different from Mass Effect.  I'd hoped knowing that Dorian wasn't anything like Kaidan would lesson the impact. Nobody in this game is like Kaidan, but they're cool in their own right. I really love these characters. Haven't found an LI I love as much as Kaidan or Morrigan though.

Nah, the Templar spec is quite awesome, her focus ability, gives the party, how can i say it, a barrier that doesn't deplete. you know the marks on her hp bar.

 

and when she dies, she HEALS the entire party to near full hp, which brings enough time to pick her back up.

She is amazing and i love her.

I figured you meant his personality was very different from Kaidan's, which it is. I'm assuming you haven't played as a male inquisitor and thus haven't romanced him, so I didn't think you were commenting on the romance itself.

Nah, I haven't tried his romance yet. I'm actually not surprised you found his romance kinda shallow. He just doesn't seem like a romance kinda guy to me. He's a great flirter though so I thought eh, maybe.

I really wanna romance Cassandra. I really like her. I'm just having a tough time getting a male inquisitor I like. I'm kinda lost without the duckbutt hair.

I kinda spec'd my characters strangely. first i leveled them in their main type of weapon then their specilization. (Yes Rahuel, this does mean i put points into necromancy )

 

I spec'd mages in 1 element each, Solas Spirit, Dorian Fire, Vivienne Lightning

 

Now normally i'm not fond of the Templar Specilization. normally looks terribad.

 

Not this game, no. IT, IS, AMAZING

 

 

Also, in my comment on "Templar death heals party members to near full hp" comment. i was infact wrong

 

It completely heals your team, and gives them 50% damage bonus for 10 seconds TOO! amazing!

and it's cooldown is 60 seconds and cassandra in all her awesome glory will not fall to death during it's cooldown.

Dragon Age continues it's streak of blocking me from the romances I'd probably like: Alistar*, Sebastian*, and now Cullen.

I could play a female Inquisitor, but I almost never get to roleplay a gay character, and that's what I'm really interested in doing.

*This is a big assumption on my part. I don't really know much about these two, particularly Sebastian.

Bro! I think the only one worth being sad about is Alistair. Pure opinion on my part, but Sebastian was a let down (I only liked him because Isabela poked him all the time). He's a chantry boy through and through. And that's all there is to him. Seriously.

 

Cullen? Well He's really sweet. He's very caring and that's nice. I just found him a little, well a little boring. AND his romance is plot driven. You can't raise approval through doing stuff. The romance progresses through story points. I hate that.

He made me feel bad for flirting with everyone though. He never said anything, but he's just such a nice guy. T^T

 

Maybe give a fem inquisitor a try to try out Cullen. Or better yet, just check it on youtube and see if you think it's worth your time.

Oh, or Bull? What do you think of him? He doesn't seem like much of a lover to me, but who knows. Anybody here tried him out?

 

I'm bummed that they didn't make Cassandra and Cullen romanceable by anyone :/

I have no interest in Iron Bull, but just to make sure I wasn't being too judgmental, I saw his scenes on YouTube. Still no interest.

It's fine. The game is still good enough for me to finish it. I'm just sad that it'll probably be a few more years before I get another shot at a gay romance in a game. And it will probably be Mass Effect 4, which has me super nervous.

You never know. Something else could come along before then. I never thought I'd find a character I liked as much as Aarin Gend. So hopefully someone will come along that you like as much as Kaidan.
