I have it on my games registration, even have the icon so what gives.
Why can't I post on the ME3 boards?

Do you use this account you are currently logged in with to play ME3?

The question still stands as to why you made a new account to change your name.

I had a very old username not relating to the gamer tag I run with these days.
I created a recent new account to line everything up (though I now understand that you CAN change the name at least once - d'oh).
I practical terms it doesn't really matter.
I could go back and rename the old account but it might tell me the new name is taken.
Or I just wait until DA:I releases and 'officially' connect that account.

That's right.
If I get this correct, registering a game you bought gets you a deeper level of access rights compared to just creating a profile.
This is the old account I had connected to previous games and this one I suspect WILL allow my to create a thread.
EDIT:
Just tested it - yes this profile (previously connected to a game purchase) DOES allow thread posting.
The new account above does not.
The next question is how to connect legitimate 'old' game registrations to a new account.
If BioWare can do some tidying up, it must be possible for BSNers to tidy up too :-)
(would that now be TBFers (cough) )

Tested it. The registration comes from the game being connected to a particular login - that is what reconciles against the BioWare Forum.
So to create threads you need to register a game.
Good that a new one is coming along at some point soon :-)

If you wish to change your forum name there is an option to do that (every few months) if that is why you created a new account.
