Such a sad day for so many people around the world, especially people who love 80s movies.

I loved so many of his movies over the years (Caddieshack, Ghostbusters, Stripes, Groundhog Day,) and it was quite the shock to read about.   Not a great month for beloved celebrities (other than Hoffman, we also lost Shirley Temple-Black.)

My husband sent me this and I'll admit, I teared up a little.

With no shame, I can say that I came across this picture and cried a little:

He created a lot of great work in the field of comedy, both in front and behind the camera, he will truly be missed.

This might be the best one, I've personally seen so far and Reddit had TONS of them.

Still i forever will hold a twinky in his name and keep it in the wrapper

Husband and I bonded over Caddyshack, Stripes and Ghostbusters, back in the 80's (which is when we started dating). He will be missed.

I've always been kind of a pacifist. When I was a kid, my father told me, "Never hit anyone in anger, unless you're absolutely sureyou can get away with it."
