Hey guys I have already killed that kid connor in Redclffe Castle so getting help from the mages is sort of useless and my Morrigan is a arcane warrior/spirit healer thanks to the respec mod so I was wondering what is better to side with the templers or the mages?

It is best to side with the mages because in the final battle you will have no ranged troops to support you other than the Dalish elves.

If you are playing on easy or normal, then mages are better. If you are playing on Hard or Nightmare, then the templars are way better. ( on those difficulties the mages will simply drop like flies )

Mages work if you want to save Connor and avoid an Alistair rep hit. mages work for great ranged support in the final battle on easy - hard. Nightmare templars are better as they can withstand more punishment.

Remember the mages even though are few at the final battle, around 12-14 if I remember correctly. They are an excellent ranged attack like the elves. They do provide some use, when you have them shooting spells at the Arch Demon at the very end

Templar's well..they are just warriors, no much different from Arls men or the dwarfts

Wasn't there a way to get both? Didn't try it yet though... *shrugs*

I believe if you are of noble blood line, then you can get both because Templar's and Mages inspired by you. Though when the final battle came, the templar's were no where to be seen

Better is relative. Play the game as you wish to.

The Templar's can't come to the final battle as long as there are Mages in the Circle Tower to guard. So you only get one or the other. You can save the Mages in a way that you are in the good graces of the Templars, but you'll only get the Mages in the final fight.
