So there are custom avatars, no big deal, been cheating with them for years already. They seem to be having some strange reactions to gifs though. Most gifs I tried don't work, but strangly a few of the gif i've used as avatars in the past actually do function correctly. Anyone else tried using old gif avatars in the new custom avatars to see if they work?

I used my old one when I first popped over:

 

 

And it turns out it will animate perfectly fine, just like that, in My Profile/Settings.  However it stays frozen on the first frame on any other page, including the forums.  This leads me to believe it's simply disabled somewhere, presumably by design.

You can upload a gif but it won't animate in the thread view. It should animate on the profile page though.

Annoying design .. *grumble*

 

Wish there was just some way to disable it in browser/account if it annoys.
