Weird o.o. It's like it loaded another inquisitor first. The armor was different and everything!

IKR?! It's super weird. I mean, none of the other save files they had was that of a male human inquisitor, and this guy just appears out of thin air.

Why would a demon want to possess a person now? They can just walk through the rip in the Veil and experience the mortal world on their own directly.

They can't experience most of the things mortals do if they don't have a physical body. For example, they wouldn't have the five senses.

Of course they're not gonna be fine with being enthralled against their will! These are demons after all.

But IMO I think enthralling someone is easier than possession because possession requires consent. Thats why the Circle mages had to be broken before they finally became abominations.

Not all demons would want to possess someone, but some would. Also a mage or, I suppose, a Red Templar abomination can be potentially a lot more powerful than a demon in its true form.

So surprised I missed this. Notice the staff she's got there? Somebody been getting close with the Amells?

Yeah I noticed that too. I don't think it's of any significance though, they probably just reused that model for the Pax demo.

In the latest screenshot of her from the blog you can see her carrying a different staff.

I Don't know if anyone noticed, but Cassandra has her sword resting on her belt now instead of the back. Stupid little detail I know, but I like that they changed that.

I'm pretty sure that's EA's way of saying 'everything will have MP, get over it', hahah. You could be right though.

How does the DA Keep satisfy the social requirement though? So far we know that we'll be able to create our DA worlds, not interact with other players.

they also said you could share your DA world with others with the keep.

Came here to ask: will we have a new hidden gems topic for the new trailer? There isn't a lot of new things, but would you like to start one?

Seconded! It'd be super cool if there was a fresh topic about that and any future info.

Interesting writeup for Morrigan on the new site...

Whether the dark-haired sorceress seeks to influence the Imperial throne, or harbors more sinister motives, no-one knows for certain. This Witch of the Wilds arrived in Orlais rather suddenly three years ago as the newly-appointed “arcane advisor” to Empress Celene. In this role, Morrigan presents a source of information unfiltered by religious dogma, and satisfies Celene’s life-long curiosity about magic. However, whispers carry concern of Morrigan having Celene wrapped around her finger, teaching the Empress forbidden, dark arts in secret.

You would think that bringing in a known apostate as an adviser would raise 19 kinds of hell with the Chantry. Would the collapse of Circles (all/majority of mages are now technically apostates?) create this opportunity?

And exactly what "dark arts" could a Rogue like Celene learn from Morrigan? Is there some blood-magic-y Rogue specialization out there that Morrigan wouldn't be qualified to teach anyway? Is Celene secretly a mage??

She could be helping Celene try to use the Eluvians.  Morrigan has some knowledge about those.

Hmm Inquisition is supposed to take place right around 9:40/9:41 isn't it? That means Morrigan would have been Celene's advisor since 9:37/9:38 and according to the timeline Celene is deposed in 9:40. It's weird to me that Morrigan isn't mentioned at all in Masked Empire if that's the case, considering everything going on in it.

You're right, that's strange. Shouldn't the chantry have anything to say about a random apostate being in the court? Also, I'm curious about why there are two imperial mages, Morrigan and Vivienne. And also why Vivienne is at the court instead of wherever she was supposed to become the first enchanter? All so curious...

They changed something somewhere and now the lore is all screwed up or they made a typo...

Vivienne was first presented as a "almost made it to First Enchanter but was screwed by the Mage/Templar war". She was referred as First Enchanter by Cassandra in the PAX demo last fall, but now she is the official Imperial Court enchanter in both Masked Empire and her own "bio" on the official website.

Yet, it appear that Morrigan, a known apostate, have been the arcane advisor to Celene for 3 years...so what exactly is Vivienne's job as Imperial Court enchanter?

The Logical hand wave of two enchaters at court is simple. Viv was more of a political advisor to the Empress where as Morrigan dealt with the matters more Arcane.

But why wasn't she mentioned in the Masked Empire?

They probably avoided writing about her in the book so they can keep her role a mystery until Inquisition comes along and we get to see for ourselves.

She was doing Something on the border? Maybe the Empress is a bit egoticical about the whole thing and only brings up the Ferelden Swamp Witch when she needs to.
