What was the best weapon you had while playing ME1? 
My most powerful weapon was the HMWA VII - Assault Rifle.

Damage : 336
Rail Ext. VII : +29% damage
Rail Ext. VI : +26% damage
Tungsten Rounds VII : +40% damage vs Synthetics
Assault Rifle Training : +19% damage
Assault Training : +9% damage
Spectre Training : +5% damage

So, with the above specs, this assault rifle does a damage of 631.68 towards non-synthetic enemies, and 766.08 damage towards synthetics. 

I know this isn't the highest damage achievable with a gun in ME1, so feel free to 1-up me!

"Best" can be defined in many ways...However, my most "powerful" weapon was as Follows:



HMWSR X- Sniper Rifle



Scram Rail X: 26% damage if memory servies

Scram Rail X: Same as above

High Explosive Rounds X: Cant remember exact specs but made things go BOOM lol.

SRT: Maxed

AT: Maxed

Spectre Training: Maxed



Every shot overheated the weapon but there were very few enemies that I didnt kill with one shot from this monster lol...I used it mainly in situations where enemies were either A.) Clustered together



B.) Behind cover and didnt feel like wasting a grenade



C.) A combonation of both A and B lol.



As far as my most "versitile" weapon it was:



HMWA X

Scram Rail X

Frictionless Mats X

Cryo Rounds VII - Strange I know but they give 22% shield bypass with NO penalties.

AT: Max

Spectre Training: Max



Basically it didnt matter how much shields the enemy had, I ate through them like Oprah on a bucket of hotwings with this baby lol.

Oh yeah Spectre Master Gear X sniper with the rails and explosive rounds. Damn. Enemies flying everywhere.



I used HMWSR X Assault Rifle with 2 frictionless material and hammerhead rounds. It's fun to sweep the floor with a tripped enemy for a minute before they die on Insanity.

I would have to say...the Spectre Sniper Rifle with the Scam Rails and Explosive Rounds. Kind of forgotten what was the third add on I threw into that mix though but it was damn fun with the one hit kills on every enemy (and I mean human sized) except those irritatingly tough krogan mercs.

SR was pretty useless on Insanity. Best weapon is Spectre Pistol. By far.

All the Spectre Master Gear X weapons...obviously but I would have to go with:

HMWA X w/ Frictionless Materials X and Scram Rail X and for ammo, either Tungsten VII (if fighting geth) for +40% dmg or Shredder VII (if fighting organics) for the same +40% dmg.



You can fire this endlessly and it will NOT overheat, unless of course you get hit by overload from an enemy

Agreed but I only played through on Isanity once...and that was to get the achievement.  Beyond that, I played primarily on the default normal setting lol.

My main weapon was an HMWA X Assault Rifle with, I think, it's been a while, 2x Frictionless Materials and Inferno rounds. I could fire that thing non-stop with perfect accuracy, it was pretty awesome.
