Ugh, thank you so much for this! Now I don't feel like my eyes are bleeding out of my head anymore.

Agreed - the only thing I don't like is this white background. Painful to read.

Will try some firefox addon in the meantime.

Thanks, you just saved my eyes.

The new design is nice, but the white colour ruins it for me.

These look so good! Not all for me, but that's okay. At least BW could take a look for examples to work with.

A complaint that I and quite a few regular BSN'ers BWF'ers have is the ultra-white background change making forums harder to read or straining on the eyes. Here's a few solutions I've found:

1. Turn off your bedroom lights (joke).
2. Google Color Change (free extension). This will allow you to change the color theme for a particular page or domain (e.g. "forum.bioware.com").

3. Color That Site! (Firefox free extension) - credit Staub33

Read here for more Chrome and Firefox extension options: http://lifehacker.co...eading-at-night

If you'd like help on how to use the extension or finding an extension plug-in for your browser then drop a comment. If you have other recommendations post as well. I haven't been able to locate a good editor for IE or Safari (for Windows) yet, but I'm still looking.

BW has already acknowledged the complaints with plans to resolve (no timeline).

Thanks

Bless you for this. If I hadn't overused my Likes today, I'd like this post. ;)

Looks like Chrome has Tampermonkey, and then I would assume you would install the same script I linked above.

I've used Chrome only a few times, if Tampermonkey doesn't work, then the changecolor extension linked on the OP should work just as well if not better.

I understand our BioWare Forum overlords are working on a "darker" theme.

I hope so but at least there may be options

The "white-only" was so annoying to me today. It's funny how something that seems so insignificant can be so uncomfortable...

Thank you!  It really is hard to read on a white background with gray text!  I don't know why Web sites do this other than to be "mobile" friendly.

I looked around for a few hours but couldn't find anything for Dolphin. My guess would be since it's a mobile web app noone is too big on changing web styles, just themes. I found a dimmer if your bigger issue is the battery life: https://play.google....rightness&hl=en

You could try searching for yourself. Try 'visual impairment', 'style change', 'color scheme' or something to the effect for the extension. My other suggestion would be to use Chrome with one of the above extensions for now.

UPDATE:
Credit to Ruggly for pointing out this user-script. http://userscripts.o...pts/show/398825

Completely forgot about it, but the real credit goes to screwball8 for making the script. Just figured I'd share it.

Some folks aren't able to modify their browser *COUGH*Internet Exploder*COUGH* settings at their office. Hopefully Bioware will provide additional skins at some point...

One of the other threads says that they will. Looking forward to that since overall I like the new forums, and that's coming from someone who normally despises any change. The current colour scheme really is an example of "what were they thinking?" though.

actually I do have really good contrast using Chrome on my laptop at home. At work Chrome is much light so I assume the monitor settings do play a role as well.

I (luckily) have access to Chrome at my job, but the IT Powers That Be have decided to block all extensions, so I'm sitting here waiting for the new skins too.  I can't spend more than a few minutes at a time here now without looking away because of eyestrain.
