I just read an update post by ArgentN7 that BW has added a new theme to address the 'white noise'.    In the bottom left corner of the forum there is a CHANGE THEME option (scroll all the way down). Select that, then select "Bioware Dark (beta)". It should change the foreground to mid-grey/white text. I still prefer the darker grey that I was able to get from the extensions in this post. However this is good news for those of you who are waiting to have this resolved. Happy gaming.
