This is the rough draft of one of the chars I made. There are some inconsistancies in story and her powers are weird. I think I had a restriction in the final version that she couldn't have fortification active while using Biotic Attacks to try and tone down OPness that comes with the power-set... I kept her out of combat so it wound up not mattering though.

Name: Lossa Giran

Race: Turian

Age: 30

Gender: Female

Orientation: Asexual

Class: Turian Veteran (Cabal Vanguard)

Profession: Kabalim

Weapons: Claw Gauntlets, Executioner Pistol

Powers: Poison Strike, Nightshade Blades, Biotic Focus, Shield Boost, Shadow Strike, Fortification

Physical Appearance: Reaching at the lower end of Turian heights at 6'5, Lossa is an albino Turian. Her carapace is distinctly whiter in coloration compared to other Turians which contrasts starkly with the black facial markings she has. Her eyes are grey, and slightly more deep-set than most. Her eyes are rounded slits.

deviantart.com/art/Turian-Mercenaries-175389758

A hormone inbalance that Lossa has caused her to grow a lot stockier than other Turians her size. Her arms and legs are more muscular than other Turians giving her a silhouette which fills much more space. She is very easily confused with a male Turian because of this size distortion. She is also proportionally stronger, which suits her nearly exclusive melee combat style but also means that the stealth portion of a Cabal's role is not filled by her.

Personality: A barely restrained sarcasm. That's really about it. She walks through life while trying desperately to avoid difficult or irritating things but at the same time has enough of a conscience to realize she has the ability to help others. With this conflict she has taken the stance that if she thinks you can handle yourself she doesn't need to deal with you unless you point a gun in her face (which she views as a situation where it is easy enough to kill you). In situations where she is forced to do something she will complete the objective to the best of her abilities but will spend the time making fun of the job or person who is making her to do something. In combat, she is more likely to ignore a fearful opponent than jump on the opportunity for a quick kill. With stronger enemies she can handle but doesn't want to cross she will avoid them to promote rivalry but not aggression, usually by causing a failure on their part but not causing them harm.

Finds the decadence of Ilium somewhat disturbing. It made its way out of the Reaper war too quickly yet she sees the 'filth' of the city as being more prevalent then any other place she has been to. Enjoys the sights and sounds and food however, and has a simple disdain for the Xenophobes she has found on the planet.

Armor/Outfit: Turian Light Phantom Armor X (http://images3.wikia...__cb20100209112 243/masseffect/images/0/0d/Light-turian-Phantom.pn g)

Lossa's armor is the standard coloration of black and red but she doesn't wear the 'hood' section. That being said, the elbows and knees of the armor have been physically altered to be pointed to improve contact damage from strikes using those parts of the body. The lights on it are also blacked out most the time though they can be turned on. She wears a colossus helmet when in space or when it is necessary.

As per an outfit, she wears a white sleeveless shirt with a black sweater-vest over it. Green cargo-pants and white-laced green boots.

Personal History: Born on Palaven 14 years before the Reaper war, Lossa was born in a succession of Cabal fighters that included her Mother Ring'ar, Grandfathers on both sides, and great grandmothers of both sides. As her mother was often on leave for business as a Cabal (which often involved subterfuge missions against Batarians and Krogan, later the Geth) she was mainly raised by an Asari midwife named Kaliana that had been hired due to a difficult pregnancy. For the first decade of her life, her mother figure was the Asari and her father figure, ironically, her mother. The Asari came to have an affair with her father which caused tension in the house in the last couple years of their stay on Palaven and made more difficult with the demonstration of Biotic abilities by Lossa in her ninth year. The tensions came to a head when the Cabal mother returned after a particularly long mission to find the Asari bedding her husband. The following was a quick breaking of matrimony and Lossa's mother leaving with her to the Citadel where the Asari followed.

As it turned out, the decade was essentially a ploy by Lossa's mother to get rid of her husband and raise a child with her all-but-bondmate Ardat'Yakshi midwife.

The strong biotic in the stepmother helped train Lossa from a young age, specifically in the act of biotic warping ( the short-range teleportation kind). They lived a rather quiet life as the mother worked as a special consultant in C-SEC for the countering of organized forces within the decks of the Citadel. This quiet life would be disrupted rather suddenly with the beginning of the Reaper War where they were forced to evacuate to remote Turian planets to try and avoid the oncoming reaper menace at the very edges of the galaxy. They did well for a couple of years as the Reaper forces were working at taking over the more populous planets though they were living on borrowed time.

After the first wave of indoctrinations and the first virtually unguarded push by the Reapers, a lone pair of Sovereign classes sent by the Catalyst to scout the area wound up finding the planet that Lossa along with three million refugees had hidden on. A fleet that had been stationed in the area reacted to the imminent Reaper threat and managed to destroy one and forcibly land the other at the cost of the entire crew onboard the Frigate. The people on the planet were forced to fight against the forces of the grounded Reaper, some of the most active people being her mother and step-mother. The next three months would be a war of Attrition against the Reaper forces on the planet as they slowly made their way into the less defended encampments and made their way towards the main capital of the planet they were standing on, Xerian. Eventually, after the three months and the loss of 3/4 of the original population of the planet the war was won and Lossa's parents had proved to be invaluable during the conflict. During that entire war where every person was an asset, Lossa at the age of 10 had been enlisted with her warping abilities to perform scouting missions that normally only her Cabal mother could do. During this time, she became incredibly proficient in warping and tactical escapes, something that would prove invaluable during her time as a Cabal later in life.

While some minor lingering fear still clings to her from her time on Xerian, she has recovered remarkably well from it because of the support of her mothers. After being saved from Xerian she returned to Palaven during the rebuilding of the homeworld. As most if not all of the vital infrastructure was severely damaged she spent most of her teens working as a volunteer with the recovery teams. She learned a lot during this time in terms of gang warfare as the structure of the Hierarchy post-Reapers created a situation where gangs of Vorcha and other alien species started popping up. Because of her youth and experience on Xerian, she proved an asset when she became a sleeper in these gangs during her late teens (17-19). At the end of her time with the gangs she was streamlined through standard military training into the Cabal where she served for a decade. Most this decade was spent in Turian space and keeping the peace in the lost corners of Turian space dealing with pirates and slavers though she has found herself on Illium following a group of Pirates called the Desert Vultures recently. They had made off with some cargo that she had been previously informed was in a different pirate ship, and to regain the cargo she has chased them to Illium, where they appear to be heading next. She had been awarded with the title of Kabalim because of a series of successful raids on Batarian pirate groups in the Terminus.

Combat Background: Was in active combat for about a year when she was 10 acting as reconnaissance. After that, time spent with infiltration as an agent from the ages of 17-19 where she developed a range of physical close-combat skills. After that, three years of training to become a Cabal. Is well versed in infiltration combat and has been trained on it in the field during the taking of large ships with minimal allies and resources. Training in infiltration styles though they are less used.

Accomplishments: Her, along with other members of a Cabal unit took down three pirate ships in a series of two raids on the same 'convoy' with minimal damage to goods on the ship. Owns one of the records in distance/frequency/limit warping at 5/.5/30 which she uses to her advantage during crowd control.

Strengths: The more enemies there are closer to her, the better. This benefit comes from her power range which is built upon constant melee combat with multiple enemies to allow her shield sustainability and damage advantages. Ship-taking and dealing with close-quarters engagements with overwhelming odds.

Weaknesses: Inversely to other people the fewer enemies she has, the harder it is for her. She cannot use her skills as often and as such cannot do as much damage and maintain her shields. Single-shot ranged weapon meaning that at anything beyond short range has a high chance of survival. Weak non-power shields.

Other: Lossa is stronger the more enemies she has to use her powers on because the powers improve shield generation but the inverse situation is more dangerous for her than for others. Against a single enemy with a gun she needs to close the distance to get into power range before she can fight them whereas with two she could hopefully jump between the two and so on.

Darth? I thought it was you but I wasn't sure. I RP'd Cennia V'Aedra and I think my name on there was the same for a little bit when I first joined. I changed my name to iiZephyr not long after, but I think that's when you had to leave PR. I was the complete noob in the Character Creation who kept asking if it was alright for me to RP :P

XD Oh my I think I remember that. Good to see someone from that site.

Yeah I ended up bailing, my work load, plus getting involved in other rp's, just made me decide it was time to move on. You know how it is though. Hey, some of the old crew got an rp set up on FF.net. Hit me up anytime you feel like checking it out.

I like a lot of your ideas and stuff though. It's been a long time since I rp'd in a non-alternate timeline type mass effect story. I'd love to get involved in one.

I think some of the most fun I had in PR was doing stupid crap with Jenna and Cennia after Fly went to bed and then hearing his indignation when I woke up in the morning... Ah... Bodyshots... Things went crazy after you left, in case you never saw.

I'll do my best to keep the ball rolling with this RP. I'm going to be busy soon but I'll find time. Anyone is free to participate and contribute and if you're onboard I think one or two more people might make it worth it to start off. If we start small we can always introduce more people on the way, and getting stuff moving with a smaller group tends to work best from what I have seen. Less maneuvering to be done.

FlareDiamandis is a good rper, and Brass_Buckles seems to know what they're doing in terms of rp's. We got a pretty good core group assembled for this.

I'm glad we've got this section of the RP boards running, haha. I was worried it would remain dead.

You just need a little push to get something going sometimes. I'm going to post the RP prompt tonight so people can look at it and consider characters. I don't think we want to run more than one RP at a time here... Or maybe we do. I'm going to be helping with the movements in the first one so I won't be able to dedicate as much time to a second one. Don't know about you guys.

Yeah, I'm much too bogged down with my tumblr RP account+real life to consider doing more than one RP. Even this one, it'll be a lot of time management on my part. I mean, we could have more than one RP but I sure won't be a big part, if at all, in it.

The characters I'm considering are so different. I'll probably decide on which to include depending on what kinds of characters we get. I want there to be diversity, at least in personalities. So if we had two sarcastic jokesters, I would bring in a rigid character. (Justicar, heyyyyy. (Throwback to my old username, #turnup))

I think Deidrus (the Turian) is going to be a bit of a hardass for the purposes of him having a 'get sh*t done' personality. I don't know about the others though.

Oooooh, then I've got an idea. Quirky scientist, maybe Asari or Salarian, who focuses much more on their work than the job or personal safety. Believes in doing anything for science. Quite eccentric. Yesss, I think Imma do that.

I call dibs on the demo expert. A slight unhinged, cheery, pyromaniac, demo expert. That or the dry-est of dry, dead pan, straight man comedy trope type characters ever witnessed.

Sounds good to me. Do you guys want to start on the Citadel with the Spectre using dossiers to collect you for a briefing with the Council or...?

Oooh, dossiers sounds interesting. Would there be recruitment missions? I have an idea for one...

Recruiting missions could be iffy unless we all work together. Some people may not be as good at them as others. Of course I think we should vote, whether we will need to be found or whether we would already be there.

Also, scrap my two ideas above, I think I'll make an aloof character and someone whose been a help to the spectres before. With a checkered past to them. will need to think on it however.

Recruitment missions?

I was thinking more along the line of the Spectre just showing up but if a recruitment mission sounds like a more fun it is feasible. If you have a relation to the Council from the past that's workable as it will be easier to get in contact than someone out of the blue. The Turian doesn't need to know them directly, just be able to find an NPC who could inform them.

Now that I'm thinking about it, recruitment missions may take too much time to do for every character. Instead, I think that if someone has a recruitment mission planned and ready, and it makes enough sense (aka we agree that we would want to do it), then we do it. Not everyone is forced to have one, doeee. That way, mission variety, yo.

Alright, if you have a recruitment mission that isn't too long and it is necessary for you to get on board smoothly there can be a recruitment mission if you want. Otherwise the char will be contacted directly. Deal? And if the mission is too much of a pain or is going to drag on we can veto it in the interest of time? This is democracy here.

Alright. Also, are there any Shepard decisions from ME1 that should be present/represented in the RP? Udina is Chancellor for some intrigue back home for one.

Whoa daym this shot off pretty fast. (been busy for the past few days)

But this was my General basic template i based around as a Dossier.
https://docs.google....gpXCgsnp3Q/edit

We can still use the other in any case.

Compared to the one already in the forum brass_knuckles is simplified and yet easy to be Cluttered with major paragraphs.

https://docs.google....9kVXdKVcxo/edit this is My Dossier example from one of my Characters.

With my dossier it give the Players a bit of a more spread of powers and abilites allowing them to make their own, But also Mix a bit of classes together. Yes in some cases it would be considered Mary/Gary Sue. But thats what restrictions are made for.

And as for Character Storage, We sould have within this Spot Categories and Forum slots for easy usage and with out Making so much clutter. For example

Character creation (category)
>Weapon Depot (forum)
>Dossier Directory (forum)
>Governmental systems (forum)
>Military Ranking System (forum)

RP Area (Category)
>Systems /ect

So that way this Spot wont be Cluttered and Loose Intrest to people wanting to roleplay and Newbies that want to roleplay but never have before.

Does anyone Agree with me on this?
ANd if you cant see what I mean By the category and Fourm set up
http://warsofsouls.forumotion.com/
this is the example i am speaking of. its my dead Roleplaying site I use to use. But it makes a Good Visual of what i am speaking about.

I like the dossier you posted. However, it's quite complicated and that alone may be off-putting for newcomers. I prefer the style Zephyr did with their biography. It's a lot simpler and easier to do. I do think everyone should fill out yours on their own time, though. Character building is always good, when you have the time, so filling in those details could help people during the RP itself.
