So the new forum background has me wondering; do we get a raven to sit on our shoulders in DAI?? Is that a rogue inquisitor in the art? Also, will Shale be around to try and crush the raven? 
Heck it could even be Morrigan, how weird would that be?

Yeah, David was correct, sorry. From a concept art angle the Raven served more as visual punctuation than in-game element. BUT...he had enough fans both externally and internally that maybe someday we'll find a place for him.
It's a good thing he stopped us. Morrigan had that raven-like outfit, also in Dawn of the Seeker a lot of blood mages were shapeshifting into ravens, our imagination really ran wild

well if you look at it
DAO: default warrior
DAII: default Mage
so DAI being a rogue is a good way to round out the classes that have been showcased in the trailers so I hope it proves right.

Looking through these mods almost make me want to get the Dragon Age games for the PC.
I want entrophy mage in black robes and staff with red lyrium runes and skull on it and have possessed raven by sloth demon or maybe by grimreaper as friend and tamed black snake that i could throw at enemies with telekinesis and it will strangle that enemy or poinson it and then return back
