Just updated the Liara mods with a complete DLC mod that applies my Liara mods to Alternate Appearance Pack 1, Citadel, and From Ashes in a single mod.

Forgot the helmet mod to replace the breather in From Ashes.  I've posted it now in the OP with the others.

So far, so good.  People are actually USING the mods from Nexus instead of reporting glitches or texture fails.  Nice difference from before.

Well done KFreon.  I got torked about the changes a couple months ago but I was wrong.  Your work is solid and works.

Yes I was just about to report Ash's mod is working nicely and I was surprised you packed the transparent face helmet mod in there, pleasantly surprised. I'm not all the way through the game yet but so far so good. Miranda mod is working as well.

Getorex, with regards to the Colossus armor I'm curious about your coalesced edits. I don't really want to just replace my coalesced with the one provided with the mod since mine is heavily edited (war assets and such). If you are of the mood could you please relate to me what changes you made to the coalesced?

Ugh. I was hoping no one would ask.  It's been a while but I'll dig in and find the line.  It's is just the one line for the Collector Armor entry.  As I recall, I think it also includes the flycam edits, etc, too because it was made from my own edited Coalesced.

Anyone have ideas on how or if it's possible to change the name of the armor as it appears in the selection window in Shep's room?  I'd love to change it to match the armor rather than keep it as "Collector Armor".

That's in the language files, don't know how it'll respond if you change an existing string but you could try.

Almostfaceman, the Colossus armor replaces Collector Armor which is FBDd.  This is the line entered there to make it have the stats of Phantom Armor.

In coalesced.bin it is sfxgame/sfxplayercustomization/fullbodyappearances

(Mesh=(Male="BIOG_HMM_ARM_SHP_R.FBDd.HMM_ARM_FBDd_MDL",Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_SHP_R.FBDd.HMF_ARM_FBDd_MDL",bHideHead=True,bHideHair=True),GameEffects=("SFXGameContentDLC_EXP_Pack003.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_Phantom"),GameEffects=("SFXGameContentDLC_EXP_Pack003.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_Phantom_Weapons"),GameEffects=("SFXGameContentDLC_EXP_Pack003.SFXGameEffect_UniqueArmor_Phantom_Powers"),Id=4,Name=686365,Description=351309,PlotFlag=-1,Type=CustomizableType_Torso)

Liara mods (except DLC) are updated and available now in OP.  Will update Nexus and Moddb and then get to work redoing the DLC mods.

Just FYI this mod is crashing my game, isolated its effect. Crashed it on the Normandy then on Salarian base going to the floor where Mordin is.

Edit: If I remember correctly, I've always had somewhat of a problem with this mod, and weirdly this is spanning two different computers.

Almostfaceman, what uniform was selected for her in each case?

Well on the Normandy her default white uniform, and in combat her default.

Or maybe not her default in combat, it's the metallic one, the one she's wearing in that transparent face mask mod screenie I took a while back.

Almostfaceman: well, I was expecting you to tell me it was the Alt Appearance Pack uniform (that caused me problems earlier), certainly not the default.

I'll try repackaging the main game mod from scratch after I check the models.

Her default 00 uniform is the white/blue clothes and jacket.  Her default armor is the shiny silver/white and blue armor that is identical to Ashley's default blue armor.  On the Normandy she always wears the former.  The latter could be what was worn on the mission.  Both have breathers unless you replace it with the helmet mod.

I've pulled out both default uniforms for Liara, tweaked the meshes a little more, and am going to just reimport into UDK and then do the whole mod creation over again.  It all LOOKS OK so far so whatever the issue is/was it isn't something obvious about the meshes.

Thanks, I'll give it a go when you get it done. Everything else you've built has been working no problem.

Yes sorry for not being clear, default on both is what I was using. I'll probably always use that armor since it makes the most "sense" on the battlefield, especially with the clear helmet. I like to get things as close to ME1 protection as possible on all the squaddies. Something poor old ME2 is also seriously lacking.

Not a problem.  I just recreated the main game mod entirely with the new meshes I checked and tweaked a bit more.  I've got two versions of the Liara default uniform mod for the main game, one without and one with the helmet for both defaults.  I favor the helmet even for her default uniform (not just the armor) only because she is wearing that on Mars, running around outside with her face and eyes exposed(?!).

VERY glad to hear of no problems so far with the other mods.

Here's the whole enchilada - body and helmet included for the main game: http://www.mediafire...t-Main52214.zip

Here's just the body mods, main game: http://www.mediafire...t-Main52214.zip

If I got it right (or close enough to right) this normal map should make the Tali Face Mod look a little better - her face, at least.  The normal map for the mod to this point has not has a normal map specifically for the face, that location in the texture was just a flat blank in the normal map.  I cut and pasted and scaled a female face normal map (for Chambers) into the location where the face map sits.  Hopefully it is aligned well enough to look right:

You and me both. I'll give the helmet version mod a shot right now and see what happens. And I'll apply the Tali update.

No crashes on the Normandy when approaching Liara's room like before, and I just took her to Noveria with her snazzy new helmet. No problems there either. So far so good.

Excellent.  Now if you can tell me if Tali looks OK (tried to get the face normal map lined up as exact as I could).  With her face behind the visor it may make no real difference.

I'll let you know, I'm playing my way to that right now, just finished off killing Cerberus on the Citadel.

Best I've seen so far. Her face is cloaked, but you can see her blinking and her mouth moving, without any of the other artifacts that were present before (jaw flapping too much below the helmet and movement on the back of the head). Really good job. I haven't tested her in all lighting, just the Normandy so far.

My two cents, the thing that would make her perfect and in-line with her appearances in the previous two games would be the glowing eyes.

Nit picks so far, EDI and Tali's uniform's could be higher resolution, or the jaggies cleared up. I like your version of EDI and Ottemis's version. Ottemis has a very high-detailed EDI without a visor and she did some really good work on EDI's eyes.

Just nit-picks though, the work has come a long way and looks really good. Love having the clear-faced helmets again. Miranda looks a lot better out of the cat suit. Ash is just about perfect, really like the ponytail, alliance uniform, and the "bringing her back to me1/me2" look of her face.

Almostfaceman: good to hear about Tali.

I gave a shot to glwing eyes but, at least with irises and pupils it is hideous. Mentioned once it makes her look like she has cataracts or is a zombie, then I also couldn't reconcile biolumescence WITHIN an eye. They would have to be blind to the glow or they would be blind entirely cuz their vision would be washed out by visible internal light (if you had a glowing LED inside your eye you would only see that light and be blind to all outside your eyes, so you would be functionally blind). If they cannot see the light then it cannot serve a biological purpose, such as some form if signalling to other quarians so what would be the selective pressure to maintain such biolume?

Biolume is generally used for camouflage in the ocean, to confuse predators (bobtail squid), as a prey attractant (a glowing bauble near the mouth acting like a lure - angler fish), to provide illumination in the deep dark ocean - but the glow organ is close to the eyes, not in the eyes, to provide some light to see by (dragon fish), to attract mates (male fireflies)...never in any creature inside their eyes for obvious reasons. I cannot help but analyze things that way - I am a biochemist.

I suppose you could model off dragon fish and make the whites of the eyes glow but NOT the lens and interior of the eye but, like for the fish, the range for illumination would be very short and you'd want to make the eyes huge to permit lots of glowing whites and a huge lense to see in the low light in the dark. She would become quite ugly with giant eyes. What you would see is big glowy eyes with datk spots in the center where the big pupils are.

Just thought of something else...Riddick and his "shine job" eyes. A lot of nocturnal animals have a very reflective layer inside their eyes, allowing more ambient light to reach the photoreceptors. They don't glow but if you shine light their way the eyes LOOK like they're glowing cuz of the high reflectivity. Riddick got a "shine job" while in prison (Pitch Black) so he could see better in the dark. It gave him shiny looking eyes cuz his pupils showed a silvery eye interior. I could try to mimic that and make her pupils larger and "glow" (not the whole eye) to signify a reflective coating for night vision like Riddick, or a cat, opossum, racoon, owl, etc. I'll try that out to see how that looks (again, the whole eye glowing, at least with an iris and pupil looks creepy like a zombie when I tried it. NOT a good look.

Oh and you COULD apply one of Ottemis' EDI uniform textures to my EDI default uniform so long as you only use her diff and norm, not her spec unless it is specially made to work with EDI's default uniform material. EDI's default uniform material uses lights and glowy points controlled by the spec and I had to tweak the spec a lot to eliminate any glow. Also, the material setting for EDI's default uniform/body is such that the colors you see won't be in the game what you see in demo Ottemis pics. I could look into cloning EDI alt uniform materials to default EDI's body (the _00 pccs) now that she's working so that perhaps other textures could more freely be used. The interesting gray/silver tint of her default uniform in my mod is what simple black and white (or light grey) looks like when passed through her default material setting. I have no idea how blue or red or green would look. Could be interesting.
