As a result of the Bryson thread, I've also gone back and am revamping my old Allers mod.  I'm changing her facial features so they are less rounded, giving her a nose and chin job, slimming her jawline.  Her body was already modified from way back so that part is done.

 

I'm tempted to also try replacing Allers head entirely with Keitner's from DEHR.  Keitner is a fairly hot female character, but then sticking that with Allers voice, not sure how I'd like that.

Or you wait until I've rebuilt it so you can just apply it with latest REV and have a look yourself. Saves Blade the effort. You can also remove the DLC mesh jobs from the mesh .mod and autofix it, seeing autofix can fix basegame mesh .mod scripts created between REV591 and REV622 fine, just not for DLC.

Yeah deadly serious, I'm building tree on 621 atm and have dug the DLC PCC's and ID's out of the old script already =)

This is a good face, I don't have problems matching it up with the voice.

Almostfaceman: Well it is easy to say to do it and quite another to pull it off.  I'll have to look at it after I get the original revamped as is.  I AM doing some fairly substantial facial structure changes (among other things, trying to get that constant smile-like look off Aller's face...her mouth/cheek structure is such that it makes her look like she always has a vacuous smile on her face).

OK, not horrible.  I cannot figure out why the line at her forehead though where her face meets the upper scalp.  Same texture, same spec, same material and I cannot quite get it to fade away.  The rest seems OK though I cannot blow up the images to look closer.

 

From your own eye in the game how did she look for you?  Also...the head mod I made still has the visor but it is not visible in your shots.  Did you use a different texture for the visor to make it go away?  I like the look without the visor but just didn't include it in my own mod (yet) except where it is absolutely necessary to remove the visor - the Alt Appearance Pack 1 DLC because that armor comes with a visor attached to it.

 

You are using Ottemis' eyes and uniform textures, correct?  Any face texture will be ignored because this mod no longer uses the EDI face textures at all.

Yea I had Ottemis's stuff on there when I added yours.I think she looked good in the game. So much so I downloaded the one you have on Nexus and will use til you finish your update.  I did you Ottemis's no visor face.

For crying out loud, I'm gonna go revert to 622 and create a new .mod for this one with the latest SVN. You have no idea how many issues this mod is causing lol. Wraaargh. This should not be the message, 'if I just wait long enough, Otte will get annoyed and fix my Jazz'.

 

I don't think people realize that when they don't keep their mods updated and they are popular enough, the troubleshooting falls on others. So them saving their own time drains everyone else's.

It's because you are so awesome at what you do. hehe

Actually, it isn't THAT hard to get her head into this BUT I just thought of a possible issue.  If Bryson and Allers use the same face and scalp textures, if I change Allers' to work with Keitner wouldn't that screw up Bryson's?  Ottemis, comment or wisdom?  The DEHR heads and scalps are handled totally differently than in ME3.  The face and scalp are all included in one single texture file rather than in separate scalp and face textures.  

 

Keitner's face-scalp combo texture:

Tweak the skin tone on the face and smooth it out and it might work OK...except for the Bryson thing.

If only I could get Keitner's voice in as well.  She had a fairly dusky voice vs Allers' annoying voice.

Yes, I agree with folks who don't like her performance. She eats her words, they only make it half way out of her mouth, and of course the acting itself isn't great either.

 

Plus, it was clear pandering to the "gaming press". A big no-no.

Getting somewhere with Keitner, though still no idea yet if I can do it without screwing up Bryson.  Getting the neck molded to Allers' shoulders and neck hole, making sure Keitner's hair fits the head properly as well:

I COULD edit the Keitner head a bit to change some of the physical characteristics and use that altered version for Bryson so the same texture will still work for both.  Put Bryson's current hair on the edited Keitner head and this whole thing could work out fine.

Editing Allers shouldn't mess with Bryson, they just share similar models and UV wraps, I know for a fact she has her own head, the hair's even attached to it.

Not to derail but I reckon it's useful to you too Geto, I managed to fix the Largon EDI mod. I've got a list of PCC's and ID's with which objects they affect (be it either head/body mesh or face/scalp mats) for all the DLC so if that's useful to you I can provide it. I'll package this up tonight still, add a little disclaimer and complete documentation. I'll contact Largon and probably post the download linked to MediaFire up in the comment section of his mod on the Nexus. Levi screenshot:

Ooooh, I remember seeing that around. if memory serves me right, I tried using Bryson's eyes instead of EDI's to sorta restore the Eva look and it worked alright.

Ottemis, that's not a derail, that is on-topic as I have been waiting for you to complete this so I could take the material edits from Largon's mod and use them in my own EDI.  I'll d/l as soon as it's available and pull the binaries files.

Really?  I'd swear I read it was a shared face and scalp texture.  If that isn't correct then no problem and if Bryson's hair IS part of her head mesh then it is definitely different than Allers (and more similar to EDI than other characters).  I'll even go ahead and just focus on the Keitner/Allers mod and blow off the Allers face edit.  My male shep may even LIKE a Keitner Allers.

What I meant by sharing textures was the UV Maps are the same, I poorly worded that when I first said it. My mistake~
