Hey Getorex, similar to my post in Ottemis' thread, I just want to say thanks for your mods!

I was a bit concerned if everything would work together, since I am using pretty much all the mesh and texture mods that I could find on my current ME3 build but my tests show that everything works perfectly so far. I am using Liara's modified body and helmet, as well the modified Miranda. I am not very far in my playthrough yet but it already looks great in my quick tests. I'll update with a few screen once I am far enough in.

Cheers and thanks again for all your work!

Thank you Mr Fob.

Depending on the game version you may find a glitch or two.  Ive recently been told that Miranda doesnt wear the new uniform in her me3 love scene, for instance (didn't know she had one).  I've been busy with RL these last months but may try too hunt down the pcc and fix it and update the mod.  Hopefully it will all continue working for you.

Hello Getorex,

I have tried to download from  the first page the Mod N7 Clear Helmet All Zip.   Once it downloads, I go to open the Zip and inside there is only a movie clip.  Could you please advise me what I could be doing wrong?   The Mod that will give clear helmets to Shepard and his selected mission squad looks amazing.  Thank you.

 Regards,

Adrian Broughton

@hadrian

Am assuming that the 'movie clip's' icon resembles the media files icon.

You have to load up me3explorer's Modmaker module and open the file through that program.

I'd recommend keeping a second installation handy, just in case.

Thank you survivor_686.   I have made several backups of the vanilla files of ME3.

Yes I do have me3explorer on my gaming machine.  I am new to me3explorer and to modding

the game.

I am not sure what you mean by icon resembles the media files icon.  The icon I am looking at

has MPEG written on it and underneath N7 clear Helmet All .mod.

Ignore what windows icon is assigned because it is irrelevant.  Start ME3explorer and select the Tools menu, then Modmaker.  Load the mod in Modmaker and apply it.  That's it and you're done.

Thank you guys for your help with the Clear Helmet Mod using ME3explorer.

It worked!   Nice to see Liara wearing the helmet with the clear face-plate.

I do not like that silly little mask from the vanilla game.

Updated the first post.  I've started working on getting my mods into DLCs instead of as *.mod files or as pcc files that need to be copied, etc.  If it works as intended you should just be able to unzip the DLC into your DLC directory and play with the mods automatically working without having to futz with ME3explorer.  First test is of my Ashley mods into DLC_Ashley_Mod.  If it works I'll move on to my other mods as DLCs.

On second look, it isn't skin weight at issue with the lash. It looks like it may be uv mapped wrong.

Withdrew the DLC version of my mods for now.  They work great on MY system but not for anyone else's.  I'm releasing them instead as packages of modified game pcc files.  You simply replace your game version of the pcc with mine and update the PCConsoletoc.bin files for the main game and/or DLC as needed.  Making them as DLC is a LOT more work and will require some time to get through.

My Ashley mod contains one pcc for the Citadel DLC that clashes with MrFob's MEHEM mod.  To correct this I took the clashing pcc from MrFob's DLC, added my Ashley mesh and textures to it, and packaged it up separately at nexus.  If you have MEHEM then you will want to replace the Ashley pcc in the MEHEM DLC with my modded version of that pcc and update the pcconsoletoc.bin in the MEHEM DLC folder.

EDI is testing out in-game for me very well.  No new glitches or crashes and she looks about where I want her for now so I'll package her pcc files up in the next day or two and release those at Nexus too.

OK, so the Keitner mod for Allers works BUT for the hair.  The Keitner face/scalp texture works, the mesh with keitner's head works but the hair doesn't because I don't know what hair texture Allers' character uses.  Anyone have any idea?  There doesn't appear to be a HMF_HIR_ProJessica or similar hair so she uses some general hair texture from the game but without knowing it I cannot make the Keitner hair work.

Allers to Keitner is coming along well.  She's ALMOST done.

That's it. Her hair is properly mapped and placed on her head. All that's off yet is the texture assignment, still, to her eyes and eyelashes.

DLC versions of my mods should be forthcoming over the next couple weeks.  I've gotten past an irksome bottleneck and am now, I think, ready to release DLC mods that perform properly for everyone rather than just for me.

Have posted my Ashley mod as DLC at Nexus (uploading as I write this).  It is big at 160MB.  It contains all my Ashley mods plus a little extra: the full face helmet not just for Ashley but for all other possible squadmates too (male and female Shep, Kaiden, Vega, Liara).

Need input (here or at Nexus) on the DLC Ashley mod.  One person has reported a problem with black texture Ashley.  No one else, nor I, have experienced this issue with the DLC (I am using on my own system so the only way Ashley can look/be modded is via the DLC and it's working fine for me so far).

Anyone else?

@Getorex

I've encountered the black texture bug before. Its usually due to the following:

  1. Texplorer not 'saving' the changes: Essentially repeat the texture replacement process, but via asset explorer for the PCC files in question. This bug comes with certain revisions of me3explorer. Remember: First make the changes via texplorer, save those changes and then repeat the texture-replacement via asset explorer.
  2. Missing TFC file: The modified TFC file MUST be placed in the 'basegame' CookedPCConsole (i.e.\BIOGame\CookedPCConsole)

Thanks survivor, I THINK I've got the texture issue licked and am nearly done with a new release point for my DLC mod.  Putting finishing touches on a few armor mods, and need to check to make sure the texture for them are ONLY applied to them and not other armors of the same name (a texture modding glitch).

I will release the Ashley DLC mod first, then expand it into a more general, all-encompassing DLC mod over time, adding EDI mods, Traynor, Tali, etc.  Since these would make the DLC as a whole quite large, I will release those as "expansions" to keep the uploading from me, and downloading from users, reduced.  The idea is then that you add the new pcc files to the existing Ashley DLC, replace the custom texture file with a new one that also incorporates the new additions, then run Auto TOC on the enhanced DLC and go.

Done. Again.  The DLC version of the Ashley mod is finished and will be available as version 7 at nexus.  The DLC includes all my Ashley mods plus the clear face helmet for all other characters (Male and female Shep, Kaiden, Vega, Liara), plus Colossus armor for Ashley and Liara (replacing their alt appearance uniforms in DLC_OnlinePassHidCE with the ME1 armor).

UPDATE: SOOO happy to report that first users report no problems so the DLC mod works. Finally.

Currently the texture appearance of the colossus armor is spotty for Ash and Liara. A bit of tweaking the spec map should correct that over the next few days.

May also partially replace the Ash alliance uniform with a new armor for missions only. Let her keep the alliance uniform for the Normandy and citadel.

Changing DLC mod to version 9 on the 18th.  Dropping Colossus armor textures for ME1 legacy armor and going with urban camo instead. MUCH easier to get looking correct.

Stupid mistake on my part led to upload of slightly "broken" Ashley DLC.  There are supposed to be 2 texture files in the DLC: Textures_Geto01a.tfc and Textures_Geto01b.tfc.  The b tfc was missing as such, was called the default CustTextures0.tfc.  I've corrected this by 1) putting up for download the properly named file while I was, 2) uploading the DLC again but with the texture files properly named, and 3) instructing people that they COULD just rename the CustTextures0.tfc to Textures_Geto01b.tfc themselves and then proceed.

The squad selection images for the DLC are not yet set up so when selecting Ashley the new uniforms don't show as such.  It works thus:  Blue catsuit (her original default uniform) = Alliance uniform; Pink Catsuit from DLC_OnlinePassHidCE = ME1 heavy armor with urban camo pattern.  The other armors remain the same as original but with tweaks as per my normal mods (Ashley's body slimmed down, smaller breasts, smoothed out Shade armor, etc).

I'm currently working to update the images so they accurately reflect their uniform as per the DLC.  Ashley's is done and I'm now working on Liara's:

Available now with the DLC_CON_Geto01 Ashley+ mod at Nexus, an optional "upgrade".  Provides new digital camouflage pattern for the heavy ME1 armor used as a replacement for the alternate appearance uniforms for Ash and Liara in DLC_OnlinePassHidCE.  I much prefer it to the urban camo pattern from ME1:

Also working on a helmet mod to go with it (right now I use an ME1 Onyx helmet texture). There's an N7 version (for Ashley) and a non-N7 for Liara:

I've posted a Howto on getting my Traynor DLC working with the Traynor Long Hair mod at Nexus.  It isn't hard and any user could do it.

Starting work on replacing the second default male Shepard head (the one you get when you start to customize your Shepard) with the face/head of Adam Jensen from Deus Ex.  Have melded Shepard's neck with Adam's head.  It is boned and skin-weighted so as soon as I get the UV maps sorted out I can try putting it into the game.

If it works as intended: you select "customize" your Shepard at the start of a new career and then leave it at that.  The face that first comes up should be Adam's.  I will replace one of the Shepard hair options with Adam's hair (I have been creating an ME3-compatible version of Adam's hair).  That hair will come with a small beard too.  That should be it, you start the game as Adam Shepard.
