A comment at nexus about my Miranda body mod has me working on a quick new Miranda mod. They liked what I did but wanted to see her lose the Cerberus body suit for something else. A few moments of thought and I realized that SHE would be the perfect recipient for Ashley's default blue catsuit...only I'll change the colors to black and grey.
Methinks this could be a really good idea. ![]()

One of the benefits of using Blender instead of 3ds is I currently have 5 separate Blender instances running, each with a different object in it being worked on, and it has no noticeable effect on my system. No swapping, no sluggishness from memory usage. No slower than having a single Blender instance running.

The Miranda mod will be ready within a couple hours. I'm testing her out right now...

If someone is equipped to test it (you have a convenient save game for the Citadel party) here is a Miranda mod with Ashley's catsuit and a black and grey color scheme in pcc form (use DLC Editor 2 to replace the same-named pcc in the DLC_Exp_003_Base Default.sfar file, then update your DLC TOC).
I'd appreciate a screenshot as I don't know how the texture will appear (the spec is a big question mark in particular).

Gave it a test since this kind of project does interest me (kinda prefer if the human ME2 characters had different outfits than the previous game), and this were my results:

Oops. I must have done the texture mod before I imported the new pcc. I THOUGHT I did it the other way around. Anyway, I can give you the textures and you can try them on her, direct them to only apply to that pcc. Give me a few.

OK, at least the mesh isn't crazy. Here's the textures I am testing. Use Texplorer and select pccs so you can make the changes only to the Citadel DLC file BioH_Exp3_Miranda_0.pcc

Used Texmod to make a TPF file to test the textures on, here's the results:

To me, it looks like the mesh portion of her chest is missing completely, so I took a quick look at Ashley's PCC file through MeshExplorer - it appears that that was the case for the original suit mesh, Ashley's head mesh extended down to the front of her chest (which is not the case for Miranda's head mesh, which ends at the base of her neck). In order to fix it, you're going to have to add that chest portion of Ashley's original head mesh to the mesh of the suit, in addition to adding her chest textures to her suit textures.

That is correct...I forgot about the extended Ashley cleavage. I'll transfer Ashley's cleavage to Miranda's head and that should fix it. Other than that, it looks pretty decent, if not a bit too shiny.
And...here's another mesh from DEHR that I can try to get into the game (femshep replacement?): Faridah Malik. I've already adjusted her...all the characters from DEHR that I've seen (male and female) have odd body proportions...legs too short, fairly stout. The females ALL have odd breasts - too big, too low on the chest, and having a smashed down appearance. I've increased Malik's leg length relative to her body, narrowed her waist, and lifted and defined her breasts so they are more ME3-like.

EDIT: As a side note, I'm making an alternative texture for Miranda's "Ash Suit" mesh using the textures from Ashley's CE armor (aka the red suit) as a base so Miranda's suit is more black/white and less monotone grey:

Looking pretty good, but I'm also going to add some orange to a few areas (so it's slightly similar to her ME2 AAP armor as far as a color theme).
EDIT EDIT: As an additional note for the mesh, I'm noticing some really odd deformation on the very tips of her collar (you can kinda see it in the pic, but it's more noticeable in-game when she's looking to the sides or up/down). It could be that the weight maps for her collar could be toned down just a little, in my opinion.

I like it better with this texture. The contrast makes it more interesting and distinctive.

That looks quite good. The texture I was using wasn't intended to be final, just a test drive for effect (Ideally I would have liked to get the same effect that the black-gray body suit gets on default EDI with my EDI face mod - the material settings make the otherwise simple black and gray look much more interesting, but that would require a material edit). I was working on a red and black version but I like the way yours is going. I'll try to have Miranda's neck/cleavage fixed tomorrow.
I DO note in the screenshot that it looks like I need to tweak some skin weights right at the edges of the uniform in front, top of the neck opening. There are some pointed/jagged vertices on both sides of the neck opening pointing in the same direction that her head is turned.

So far all this with Miranda is a definite improvement over her silly white cat suit. (I did like her black cat suit though)

I've got Ashley's cleavage paired with Miranda's head (scalp actually) mesh now and will have to deal with the UV mapping and image editing (pasting Ashley's cleavage image onto Miranda's scalp textures) tomorrow. An easier fix would be to put add black cloth/shirt patch over the opening of the top. This would simply mean placing a new mesh patch over the opening, attaching it and UV mapping it to some black patch in the uniform texture. Preference?

And no, it's not because I'm a pervert. lol

I, on the other hand, am a perv so I like the cleavage BUT the faux tshirt patch is much easier. Anyway, I'll try patching Ashley's cleavage into Miranda's texture tomorrow. I'm off to bed now.

It's a *.mod file instead of a straight load of altered pcc files. Too many people seemed to have issues with the pcc files (perhaps there are incompatibilities between versions of ME3). While they worked fine on my system others reported game crashiness.
To install the mod you use ME3explorer, in Tools menu, Mod Maker. Load the mod file there and simply run the lot. EVERYTHING will be modded in the main game that is Ashley. Her face, body, armor, helmet, romance texture and body, hospital body and texture, new alliance uniform.
Hey Getorex. I downloaded this mod and did these steps, but when I try to run it says:
''ME3 Explorer.Texplorer.Texplorer does not contain a definition for Load DLC and no extension method Load DLC accepting a first argument of type ME3 Explorer.Texplorer.Texplorer could be found (are you missing a using directive or an assembly reference''
I downloaded the attachement for the DLC and put it in win32 (the one you have on Nexus) I'm going to take a guess that this is because of the fact I've already applied one of these mods (romance, I think) to her and now I wanted to try the full package. Any ideas on how to procede? (I have a vanilla backup)

Well, I've never seen that error before but it makes me suspect a few possibilities. First, are you using a very recent, or most recent, version of me3explorer? When you first setup did you scan the entire game, main game AND DLC, for texplorer's first run? You cannot mod textures in DLC unless you elected to include DLCs in the first texture scan. Final possibility may be, assuming your me3explorer is up-to-date and you did include dlcs when you first ran texplorer is that a change to the app recently has broken mods made previous to the change.
The dll files from nexus are only needed to play the dlcs after they are modded, they aren't required to actually mod the dlcs. Those files prevent the authentication failure you would normally get at game start if a dlc is modified from original.

Be sure to use REV620 if you're using a much older version atm as there are reports of treescan failure with the latest revision, 621. They are currently being investigated. You can update to 621 when treescan is completed and keep the tree generated with 620 or just use 620 for now.
And yes, that looks like an error specific to using a REV before recent .mod script changes.
