Background issues are definitely communicated.  I believe the online guys are looking to remedy this.  The BioWare tag being offset is a known issue too.  Had to do with if a thread was moved to a different forum.

I can't help you with the background, but I can help you with your avatar picture. 

 

At the very top right corner of the forum, you'll see your forum name and a little drop-down arrow. Click on it and a box opens with some selections. Click the first one in the left column called "My Profile".

 

Then, where that little temporary photo is, in the top left corner of that you click an area that says "change" (it's very light and hard to read, but it's there). Now you can either upload a custom photo from your computer or you can copy and paste the URL to a photo stored online and click "Done". There is a 500KB limit on the photo size, though.

 

If you need help getting a photo down to that size, it's easy to do in a graphics program - even one as simple as Paint. If you have trouble, you can feel free to PM me and I'd be more than happy to help you re-size it.

Which of your Wardens did you want? If you go to your old BSN profile and into your DA:O profile, you should be able to right-click and save your Wardens' profile images. Then, upload them from your computer to your avatar here. The sizes look small enough to work as avatars here.

From reading the BioWare posts around these parts, it sounds like they are trying to work on a darker background theme to offer us so that we can have more options besides "Whiteout Blizzard". I have faith something appealing will probably come out soon for us. It's been one of the highest-mentioned "improvement" requests from everyone, just going by my general browsing.

Now that the Forums are at a quick load time I must say this makes the experience much better.

 

Some good features to discover.

 

If it wasn't for the "too white for me" look I would be very happy.

 

That and the quality/content of some posts   Some things never change.
