Score doesn't matter in this co-op game. Never did.
The score mechanism is broken anyway

When I started of 2 years ago I was the ultimate team player, reviving everyone without any hesitation, doing all the objectives by myself, detonating explosions, stripping shields etc. But the elitist players thought I was an average player because I chose to play the game the way it should be played. I felt I deserved more respect so I became a scorewhoring monster that the world had never seen and probably will never see. Those same elitist players now dislike me because I have become much better than them and I feel much better about myself when I outscore them very easily on or off-host.

What I've always found is the people who bring it up have to "work hard" to "earn" it.

Don't really care about score but I'm a competitive guy by nature so I try to kill all enemies as fast as I can. It just happens that at the end of the match I get the top spot on the scoreboard because I don't suck at playing this game. And yes, my e-peen is huge these days  B)

Also, FTL, I have always liked you

Ah! Didn't know that. The 90 day thing can be tough. What if you make a typo while changing your name?

What matters is extraction, but still I like to stomp face and contribute.

Sometimes a group does not work well together, so I go off and lone wolf.  Sometimes I extract alone, with three dead people still clutching their empty rocket launchers, mangled bodies littering the LZ.

As sole survivor, its your job to let the families of the fallen know how well they fought, and that they sacrificed for the good of us all.  A lot of the time, I am telling lies just to make families feel better.  After all, you can't be brutally honest and tell the truth ALL of the time.  No one wants to hear their precious Vorcha/Turian/whatever got crushed flat by a Scion in something that looked like a prison shower scene sans handcuffs.  I have to convince myself that they didn't suffer - or at the very least are not suffering now.  Is it that bad I laughed?  Does that make me a bad person?

It really doesn't matter.

This, It really doesn't matter, not to mention there are many variables to how your score is tallied. lag being a major component, how you build your character, how your teammates built their characters etc. etc. at least on the crappy ps3 version these things come into play, i can't speak for xbawks or pc. not to mention you can  do all the dmg to a enemy , then someone else get's the kill shot and gets more points than they should.... the scoring in this game is grossy skewed by many things. as long as you aren't dying constantly you help with objectives, and you aren't camping the LZ during extraction. I could care less about anyones score.

I see the scoreboard as a tool to determine how much I contribute in a match. It is definitely flawed but it is somewhat accurate. I still somewhat care about being top score but I let it go and just play the game. As long as I play well and I am not too far from the leader on the scoreboard I am good. Winning the game is my priority.

Because score defines my epeen size. Small and meaningless.

But don't you know best for yourself how well you did? I mean the way put it top score=doing good, but that's not true.
