You say that it is viewed as leeching or noobiness when you get a low score and that high scoring people wouldn't want to play with me because of it.
A lot of people might take it that way but many will pay more attention to how the person actually behaves in game. I've had some interesting gold games where the person who scored the lowest by far (around that 50k mark, interestingly enough) was probably the most valuable member of the team. Sometimes that person is detonating others' explosions, reviving, doing objectives (or protecting the one who is doing them) and those things will not typically add up in score because of the way the score mechanic works in this game. As a general trend, it may be accurate to say that someone scoring only 50k in a gold match isn't helping out much but I've seen too many exceptions to take that as a rule, by any stretch.

Nooooooo..... Don't let me down now guys. I mean i top score all the time but but but this?? ![]()
To The OP: It's something you have to live with i guess. It has always been a part of online multiplayer. Can you tell whether there was any multiplayer game without a scoreboard? Also the scoreboard can be useful in certain ways like checking medals obtained, etc.
Also i would rather take a 40k scoring pug on gold and plat and who helps during objectives rather than one who scores 200k+ without bothering to help with objectives and reviving teammates when possible and simply missiling spawns when not required. Dont care if someone spawn missiles in wave 11 provided they helped and participated in the match and also missiled when required.

I want fast matches... that is what I find fun. I want to race for the enemy and watch them die, rinse and repeat.
If I outscore everyone on the team by a factor of 2x or greater, but the time was fast, then score didn't matter I just got to them first more often.
If I outscore everyone on the team by the same factor, yet the time is average or slow, then yes score matters. My score matters, and the teammates contribution did not. These matches I now term Charity of the Jedi.
Do not fool yourself thinking score is irrelevant I this game: it represents damage dealt, a pretty fair indication of what your contributions are.
Also, don't fool yourself into caring! The importance of your score to you is mind over matter: if you don't mind it doesn't matter.

If I finish a Gold match and I've got 200k+ and the three other people have like 15k apiece, yeah it matters
otherwise no
