Perhaps a series of maps that all tie into an overarching goal?
It would be cool to scenarios like the assault on the Collector base, wherein the team has to accomplish specific tasks on certain maps to open up pathways in other maps, or make traversing other maps easier. It would also help make the game more enjoyable if certain objectives were harder unless the group had a specialist, or specific species to accomplish a task. Much like the Seeker Swarms that your biotic specialist had to hold off in ME 2, it would provide an added level of strategy and planning to the group's battle plan if certain classes were required for certain objectives.
Biotic classes for defense objectives, where they must spend all of their energy on holding a force field up to protect their allies; this being translated into gameplay as the biotic class being unable to use any of their powers, and can only fire weapons while they maintain the barrier. Likewise a engineer would be needed to hack a computer terminal or open a door. The levels wouldn't necessarily be designed around the party having to have a specific class, but certain objectives would be considerably easier to accomplish if the classes in question were present. Other elements could take the players' racial choices, and armor choices into account as well. Maybe the players would have to pass through a vacuum, and only those players who elected to wear full helmets, or players playing as the Quarians or Geth could enter the area.
