Uuugh I just found out about this today, and of course it ended yesterday. I can only hope there's another contest like this in the future.

On another note, there's some pretty good submissions here. Can't wait to see who the winners are!

I live in Canada, but I actually did trade my voice to a witch for a new set of legs, so I was ineligible.

 

Having watched a fair number of entries, I have to say there are some really excellent submissions, a vast number of decent but not overly impressive entries and a few videos that are unbelievably "Oh dear God what were were you thinking" awful. Also, I think there were a few actual actors who mistakenly believed they were auditioning for an actual paid role.

 

I think if Caroline outright eliminates those entries where the person reads THE ENTIRE SCRIPT, she'll have about 1,000 videos to choose from.

Sent my entry in last week but posted in blog forum, didn't realise there was a more active thread here. My recording quality is very poor, and the content isn't great but it was lots of fun to do.

Have listened to many of the auditions on this thread and am very impressed, there's some really great voices here!  Best of luck to everyone

Given that I've been acting a lot with my short film projects, and have a burning passion for doing it, I would have loved to participate simply for the enjoyment but disappointed that I wasn't allowed 'cause I ain't no Brit. Bullocks. I do love Youtube user Strawberrycreme's take below. Sounds awesome. Best of luck to all contestants. Wish I could have joined.

I am also incredibly excited about this opportunity!  There are some fantastic submissions posted, and I can't imagine it will be easy to select the winner(s)?!

They received about 2000 entires as I hear, apparently a much larger response than they expected. So it's taking longer than they planned to go through them all, I expect.

Then again, they'll tell the winners before they tell the rest of us, so that might've happened already.

Hm, that might mean they've reached a point where it gets more rigorous and takes longer per entry. We'll see... eventually.

Maybe Caroline has picked a winner but the person who submitted the entry isn't responding to her e-mails so she's like "Go with this guy or pick one of the also-rans?" Maybe Caroline is just super-busy with recording lines for Inquisition? Maybe all the entries are super-horrible, and Bioware is procrastinating with the "CONTEST CANCELLED, YOU GUYS ALL SUPER SUCK" announcement?

Could be. I expect that early in the process though it was simply a matter of flipping through the entries and separating the "Definitely Not"s (Out of place accent, can't act, etc.) from the "Maybe"s, which could go a lot quicker. If they've gotten to the point where they have fifty, then they're all probably of reasonably high quality. Meaning there's a lot more discussion as to which ones should be discarded.

Actually, I think Jessica is dealing with some family stuff at the moment, so just be patient.
