Evil Spirit Club is the best dungeon in the game by far. Plus it has the best event(unique to P4 side)

The Lovely Dolls, especially, spooky as they are, when they just 'show up' on-screen, giggling -- When you engage them, it shows its true form as it moves closer and closer to the screen, 'till combat starts.. Man, it's awesome, if not annoying.. because they ARE annoying to fight.

I made that point in an earlier post too. Spirit Club's got the most intriguing puzzles, challenging S.O.Bs (not to mention incredibly creepy) and good atmosphere.

Plus the girls reactions just make it soooo much better. I'm surprised Yukari, Chie and Naoto made it out of that place sane.

If there's one thing that clues me in on Persona Q being more of a "throwaway" project its the less than meticulous care when it comes to the localization. I don't think I've seen this many errors in the dialogue in a Persona game.

Incidentally, I'm now at a dead end with a bunch of S.O.Bs, Lovely Dolls (creepy dolls) whom I can't seem to get past and I kinda don't want to fight.. aside from that, I'm loving this dungeon very much.

I haven't noticed something like that -- I've noticed grammatical errors though.
That's what I mean. I figured that still fell under localization as it was a failure to translate whatever japanese text was there into the proper English sentence.
Anyway... finally got to The Power of the Wild Card request. I'm surprised I didn't die a bunch of times (thank you Alpha Drive). I'm so hyped to grind right now. Got A LOT of leveling to do

Localization is more along the lines of "adapting a product to suit the tastes and consumptions of other markets". It refers to the concept of adapting design and layout to suit the translated content. If Atlus, say for example, had chosen to solely translate Q from Japanese to English without the localization process, then a lot of the dialogue would sound alien, preposterous and probably fly over a lot of people's head. It's the cultural differences that seperates East from West so marginally. Atlus USA have adapted these characters into a proper context, so that the western cultural hive-mind can relate, without necessarily being inconsistent with the source. Atlus's localization is among the best, as it manages to keep the elements of the original product, while at the same time delivering it to a western audience.. Some of the eastern humor is still there, homosexuality and overweight being played for jokes, without necessarily going so far as being unintentionally malicious. There's still that exotic Japanese flavor to it while also not making the game feel like it was made by aliens from another planet.
I think that's simplest form of putting it.
Anyway, I finally finished the 3rd floor. Yosuke almost got assassinated by the girl's cooking again etc.

Yeah I had a general idea but I forget the specifics of localization sometimes. Nicely explained.
On a different note, dat 4th labyrinth music though. So awesome.

Agreed, I really like that since the SNES was dear to me back in the day.

So I did a request that involved the Velvet Sisters and I got lowkey offended when Margaret gave Elizabeth credit for watering flowers, feeding stray cats,, and cleaning bathrooms. I was like, "No Margaret, I'm pretty sure I (Makoto) did all of that."

The Power of the Wild Card - Most intriguing side quest in the game so far. Izanagi No Okami & Messiah, yes indeed.

I feel like I've put way too much time into leveling up. I'm not sure of the average playtime of Hard difficulty but approximately 146 hrs to reach Lvl 61 has gotta be real slow.

Yoshitsune + Victory Cry makes the Hollow Forest your b*tch.
Or Helel with Morning Star and Victory Cry.

Had Yoshitsune sans Victory Cry. Hell, that skill on any of my Personae would have made the dungeon more tolerable. As it stands, I hated the Hollow Forest the first time around and I hated it this time too.
It has great background music though.

Nah. I've stuck to Normal but I made sure I fought her to get the trophy. Completely botched my first attempt and ended up getting creamed but managed a lot better on try #2. Yoshitsune and Trumpeter were pretty much my saviours. Not to mention Yosuke, Chie and Yukiko constantly evading her attacks, as well as repeated Rise interjections.
I'm fairly sure she blocked Margaret's 9999 Megidolaon or I defeated Margaret before she could trigger her first one. She blocked something in any case, lol.
Feeling in the mood to restart P3P now. Probably a Minato run this time around.
