I'm pawsitive about this!
Atleast you got a good cat-titude about it.
You placed top of your class in the exam!
Your schoolmates are impressed! +3!
The Heist Members are Skeptical! +1! -2 to Heist Preparation!
I would not mind the above... Studies vs planning the (probably) monthly heist... More stuff to compete for those evenings I guess.
I still hope there is that sense of agency as to whether ones character does good in school or not.
Yeah, I really hope all the social stats return.
And speaking about Social stats, I just noticed that there wasn't a menu for Social Links in the trailer.

Yes, we talked about this a bit. It's possible "Cooperation" might be the new term for it, or it simply hasn't shown up yet in the menu of what we've seen.
Spend time with your waifu or commit to the heist.
SPEND TIME WITH TANAKA, so that you may learn how to be a tool!

Cooperation could hint at the fact that social links influence battle or heists more directly, like the Social Link checks in previous games where you couldn't do A or B because someone didn't like you enough. If heist prep is a thing that would also factor into preparation.
Like each month a certain prep threshold exists, say its 15 and increases gradually as months pass. If its lower than that then your cooperation is dropped and elements of the heist don't go quite according to plan, but it can be offset by the relationship with a character.
Like you hit 12, but since you've got a high affinity with Ryuji when you need to get around a certain thing you can still succeed, but your lesser affinity with Moranaga causes you to fail (and take dmg or an SP penalty).
Or w/e. I'm just excited for wearing masks and jumping through windows.

Some cool ideas here tbh.
I hope we have the chance to fail heist like how you could fail to save someone from the TV in P4.
Mostly I'd like to see cooperation be more than social links just to see more direct consequences of planning. If I'm planning on doing a heist at the end of the month to do X I want to be able to make a noticeable (not necessarily significant) difference in what happens. In P4 it felt like your farming up of social links was fun but ultimately unrelated to what was happening in the story. If cooperation means that I have a better say in whether it goes smoothly due to professional planning or just barely make it under the wire thanks to trusting one another, I'll eat that up.

And that would be a great element of consequence.

So I take back the Reaper being easy in Persona Q, Chris. I got wrecked three times in quick succession. I'm taking a break now.

That'd be just mean.
Nothing would ever get done.

I told you Q is mainline SMT cheap sometimes ![]()

I don't think I'm ready to believe that the game is gonna go the western RPG approach in accordance with choice and consequences, especially considering that those ultimately always end up being horribly unbalanced or superficial with most games that has tried it. It's not even certain this game will be about heists, one would have to consider what that would have to do with fighting Shadows? How is it related to Personas and Shadows?
It'd be cool if the social links with the party members had a somewhat consistent connection to the current state of the story as they progress, but I like to think that not all social links will be as such, which of course I wouldn't mind.. I'm thinking that Atlus still plans on making social links for NPC characters as well, like in previous games, some of those which happen to be among the best social links (Akinari, Saori, The tower in P4 etc.)
Basically I'm still looking forward to see how they are gonna play out in this game, how are Personas factored into this, we haven't really seen any usage of Personas yet, more party members (I really can't dig a party solely consistent of a cat and these 2) that's just not enough.. so I'm hoping for at least 7 or something.. One for each deadly sin perhaps? Oh, and well also need a release date already :I
I hope we get more details on why we are fighting demons. Is that going to be our mook grinding? Do they only appear in the heist? Are they central to the plot and shadows are still there but have a low presence? Did the villain change shadows somehow? Ect
That's really what I want to know.
