Hopefully Atlus take care of everything in house now in terms of the publishing.

Ken is getting the Raiden ala MGS4 treatment, bishounen look and next thing you know he'll ****** oil and **** gold -- only major difference being I actually liked Raiden in MGS2
Apparently Koromaru still has his wings.

Has anyone here watched any of the Persona animations? worth importing? I'm looking specifically at Persona 3 #1 Spring of Birth CE.

The Anime of Persona 4 is... okay. It's not fantastic, but it's okay. I think Naoto's voice actress is terrible and sadly Troy Baker gets replaced half way through as Kanji, due to scheduling issues with him being suddenly married at the time.
The Persona 3 movie seems okay but I can't watch it without the English cast so I think you should judge for yourself. It ain't paying all those damn money for a 1 and a half hour long movie. It's frickin expensive.

What Chris said. Its fun to watch how some cutscenes play it in anime instead of ingame, but its nowhere near as awesome as the game itself.
Though, I think they turned Yu into a really great character in the animation.

Cheers.
It is expensive, yeah. I'm in Canada, so it would cost me around $90 in total for the CE.

Their take on Yu was probably the best part of the anime.
Yu in the anime got a quite alright personality and isn't as stale. Quite like him actually
One of the ultimate set-backs of the anime was partly the pacing, a bad director, the writing not being on par with the top quality of the game, examples being Kanji & Naoto. The entire true ending was forced into 1 episode which is only 20 minutes long.
Yu was okay -- I think he they did an okay job on giving him a personality without losing that whole idea of him being "blank slate" in the game.

King's Game Yu > everything tho.
God Ken looks like a complete douchebag and while I'm happy Koro still has his wings, why he is wearing that ugly orange hoody instead of his nice white shirt I will never get.

I say wait till Persona 4 Golden animation, P4A was decent with alot of good stuff and some scenes being really good, but overall it could have been ALOT better. Some characters like Chie look better then the game but others like Yukiko and Dojima didn't turn out well int he anime and they screwed up big time on Naotos VA change for it. Also like Chris said, the true ending episode was very poorly done.
As for the P3 movie. I caved in and watched. Voice acting aside since I played all the games dubbed and have grown attached to the English cast, the only va I liked in the movie was Yuki, Yukari and Junpei. Others like Mitsuru (thanks Rei for ruining another character) where just horrible. It was overall great. Some changes that where made did make me raise my eyebrow along with some dialog changes(though this might not be a issue if it's dubbed) but things like SEES starting out very fractured, Yuki and Yukaris relationship, the rival between Junpei and Yuki, the moon operations and overall animation was very well done. Yuki I really liked as he's just like how I played Minato in P3. However my big issue is they are jumping ahead way too much and skipping some scenes I felt should have not been cut at all though I will say Hidetoshi's cameo made me smile.
If it gets dubbed, I will buy it without a second thought, looking forward to how part 2 will be as it has some of my fav scenes in it.
Am I the only one who would want a Persona 2 anime? It seems valid.

I don't think it's fair to mark it down because of a different set of voice actors. Okay, there was that ending but there's more.
Personally, I thought it was on the line between good and great. It did some scenes better and worse than the actual game (which is to be expected from an adaptation). Plus, Yu actually has a personality in this one.
Perspective and opinion, I guess.

I'd rather have the game, Eternal Punishment that is, than an anime that isn't gonna live up to the game.Am I the only one who would want a Persona 2 anime? It seems valid.
Going back to Ultimax again. I hope that after Ken gets his inevitable trailer, hopefully there'll still be more characters to fill out on the official website. And the screen saying "Coming Soon" will not go way after he's there... I hope.

I disagree. Naotos va in P4A failed to capture her character the way Miss.Mysterious did in the game. I loved Mary in GitS, but as Naoto? No way, she did a very poor job and while Naoto herself looks great int he anime, the bad voice acting leaves alot to be desired, more so when she's my fav character in the game. Plus with Baker leaving half way through, we got discount Baker who while did not do a bad job, it's not the same. I had no issues with Teddie and CHie change because I found Eren to do a much better job and half the time it was hard to tell the difference between Teddie as both did a fantastic job, Naoto however was a trainwreak in terms of voice acting.
With P4GA being done in house, hopefully the issues the first anime had does not happen this time.

What needs to happen now with the Golden Animation is that they not only get Naoto's official VA back, but also finally reveal her name!
I swear, if they reveal everyone else and leave her out on purpose........

Sadly, due to legal terms, they are not allowed to reveal her name or give her credit for her part. She's a union-actress and thus her identity is confidential, which is essentially what happened with MGS1's cast as well at the time -- The reason why Cam Clarke had to go with the alias James Flinders etc.

*grumble grumble*
I'm gonna say one thing - I do not get the hate towards Tracey Rooney. The argument that she doesn't sound like a high school girl, but a 30 year old woman is just downright stupid, and it leads me to question on whether these people have been in high school? High School girls do not sound like squeeky chimpmunks, and mind you, I'm not saying Eren does, but sometimes her voice can be a bit grating and it falls into the category of typical squeeky female anime girl. Tracey Rooney had some great moments, especially during the camp-out. In fact at many points I actually preferred her as Chie over Eren, but I've learned to live with it. Just like I've learned to live with Sam Riegel as Teddie. The characters who really needed a new voice actress was Ken & Fuuka to be fair but there it is. I recall that Chie's replacement was done due to strict legal terms as well.
Speculation on how the story is gonna be divided in Ultimax

Since they are not gonna seperate it into individual character stories anymore, which I'm kinda sad about, because it leaves me worried that some characters will get more screentime than others and I'd have to play as Ken at some point when I'd rather play as Yukari or Naoto etc. I liked the individual stories, because it left an open door to the player and determine what story is canon. It's easy to pick apart certain parts of each story and then tie them together and say -- Oh, so that's how it happened! I also liked how in Arena, before the gang went into the TV, you'd experience things from different perspectives, and get an insight as to how certain events occured, like whatever happened to Kanji? or how did Teddie disappear etc.
Still, looking forward to see how it's gonna play out. I've basically drawn my own conclusion as to how the stories are gonna be made up in Ultimax above.
I want a Yukari arc with her own POV.............
