So I maxed out my Academics, aced the exams and Mitsuru finally wants to walk home with me.

 

 

About goddamn time! I didn't spend 50 hours on nothing!

 

Now comes the hard part... Yukari or Mitsuru?

 

Like my life wasn't hard enough as it already is.

It's absolutely one insanely hard choice. For so long I couldn't pick either over the other and it was only quite recently when a few of us here talked about it that I had to go with one of them but man it's.. haaaaaaaaaard

But in all seriousness though; as tempting as it is I think I'm gonna pursue only one of them.

Indeed. Never really had this problem before. The are both pleasing to the eye and capable characters, whom I each value for different reasons. Gonna have to ponder on this for awhile...

Went with Yukari myself -- I consider her, Junpei & Shinji to be the most interesting characters in the game. There are a few other reasons as well but again it's most likely only relevant to me.

Well concerning Yukari and Mitsuru; I genuinely like how they both come across at first glance, both in terms of appearance and attitude. Yukari sports a rather light colored clothes and a more lighthearted personality, but has a very sharp tongue and at times her remarks can be quite offensive and rude, both towards Junpei and the protagonist. Mitsuru in contrast has more formal clothing and darker colors, and her design is more "sharper" with her facial features and tone of speech. Yet she does display several times along the story a lot of care and sympathy towards several characters, which surprised me considering my initial impression of her.

 

Nothing that you guys aren't aware of yourself, but just reflecting that I do enjoy how these characters didn't fall into a certain character stereotype that I was expecting them to, and they are both quite compelling characters (along with other character in the game). But yes, gonna continue playing and find out who I'll go with. So far Yukari is the worthy contender, though will need to scratch more layers of Mitsuru before I decide.

I liked Mitsuru's social link. She really shows a more softer side there.

I say, Mitsuru is a fine looking dame that you should pursue, Chewin-kun.

 

Because she is a Tier 1 Senpai.

So I've finally almost finished my first complete playthrough of the first Persona, the SEBEC route anyways, just the final boss left. This game was rough but luckily not that long so it's manageable. The focus on Maki didn't help especially since she's probably my least favorite character of the bunch.

It's kinda funny because as Kagura, Rie is amazing but in other roles, more so Rise she is just nails on a chalkboard.

Most likely going with Yuka-tan, but we'll see.

Well pimp route is the only option in P3

 

But really, I wouldn't be able to choose between Yukari and Mitsuru.

Did you get around to playing the male bloke then?

Anyway, I had no trouble picking Yukari, as I felt the chemistry and familiarity was a lot stronger with her then with Mitsuru. It does help, however, that you gain a special ending with one's chosen partner on a second playthrough of Portable. Disregarding that, my impression of Mitsuru's feelings towards the protagonist felt more or less platonic. Especially considering certain story events, where Yukari's "romance" felt more consistent.

Suffered from a future choice that I never reached. So most of my "approval" of both characters come from Minako's PoV
