They are doing the Persona 3 movies with the female character as well? That's pretty cool actually. I'm surprised they have the budget for making double the amount of movies.

While I myself as well prefer the male character, the female one is not bad and I can't understand why she is popular. Always glad that Atlus gave a new character instead of a reskin.

Got stuck yesterday on floor 135 that had the Sleeping Table boss hindering my path. So ended up spending majority of my game time today grinding as hell. Well it was worth it, since now any enemy I pass are a breeze to get through. I do appreciate that the combat is challenging, even if it might infuriate me from time to time (hoho).

 

In terms of main story:

Shinji took a hike.

 

Was genuinely surprised he went so fast after having just joined the group, and was a little saddened since I was starting to take a liking to the fellow. I do appreciate that the game gave opportunity to explore his character a bit more, in terms of dialog from the characters and that one recording upstairs. Gave him a more humane side to him, which was what I wanted the game to offer in some capacity and I am glad it did. Shame that it fell short as it was just starting to come into play and turn interesting, but hopefully Shinji isn't thrown to the sidelines completely now that he is gone and that some characters (Akihiko and Ken I am expecting) can give further insight as the story goes along.

Minako gains the best insight into Shinji -- Shinji continues to have an effect on Akihiko's development... and Ken as well I guess, that is to say, him becoming utterly more pointless than he was before.

Well that is a shame, regarding Ken. His initial appearance felt almost like "hey player, here is a guy with the Hama skill since you don't seem to have one in your party ktxhbye", so disappointed to hear he apparently doesn't fill a role in the future (expected having him play further upon the concept of death and acceptance).

 

Meh, wasn't much interested anyhow. Cool to hear that Akihiko at least gets some. Certainly one of my favorites so far (though one reason being I can relate to him on a superficial level).

His initial appearance felt almost like "hey player, here is a guy with the Hama skill since you don't seem to have one in your party ktxhbye", so disappointed to hear he apparently doesn't fill a role in the future (expected having him play further upon the concept of death and acceptance).

As soon as that whole fad with Shinji is over, Ken stops being overtly relevant altogether -- Nevermind the fact that him being a grade schooler makes his disposition feel very out of place, he cannot sympathize with their troubles or issues, he simply cannot connect with the other characters in any true meaningful way beyond just.. being there. I'd have felt somewhat bad for him, if it wasn't for the fact that he's smart enough to understand that petty revenge is just that.. petty and by not confiding in anyone he ended up getting Shinji killed because of it. Then after he dies, he's like "I'm okay now, mom. I'm an absolute cretin with a stick up my ass, and it took someone dying for me to realize as such". 

 

In other words. I don't like the character and never bother using him myself, really.

Never understood his inclusion in the first place. Was expecting him to have a perhaps serve as someone who holds a rather romantic view towars the whole aspect about fighting Shadows (even more so than Junpei) or something similar, but having him be relevant for simply a few scenes and just simply move on after that is disappointing, and I was hoping it would serve some purpose down the line.

Well it is a shame, but matters little overall.

Well know I've found it, so hello! Also excited for Persona 5 and Dance All Night (problem?). Atlus sure does milk Persona 4 but it is some good milk at least in my opinion

Fave Persona Game: Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. *dodges any incoming attacks* Well I simply love fighting game genre, and back when they announced that Persona 4 was gonna have a fighting game... yeah, I jizzed my pants. Persona 3 and 4 are better games for sure, but I prefer the fighting games

Fave Atlus Game: Only played the Persona series. Rest of the Shinigami series don't interest me. Never played them, but never had the motivation to try.

Fave Game: Hmm, tough one. Probably FF7, b/c it is basically my first game I played (or at least I recall it being) and one that I've played trice through different age periods in my life (once as a kid, teens and now young adult).

It is on my "to play" list, which I have postponed for far too long. But yes, eventually I will play that one at least.

Ah yes, it has to be Chariot one with Kaez. Not that it is anything special really, but back when I played it the first time he reminded me quite much from a friend of mine who had similar asporations in the soccer team (his little brother had problems with his legs and couldn't play) so my friend decided to be as good as he possibly could. So it kinda was amusing having one in real life and one in the game.

Do you think i would like Devil Survivor 2 record breaker if i enjoyed Persona 3 FES and Persona 4 Golden?  What i liked about those games was the length it took to complete, the setting with highschoolers fighting stuff, the relationships both friendly and romance, the ability to choose what you wanted to do that specific day and the dungeons in Persona 4 Golden because they were different.

Fave Non-Atlus Game: Persona 3 is my first Atlus game, so there are none.

Fave Game: Witcher 2.

Fave Track: Dancing All Night Opening Theme. 'Tis my jam.

Fave Character: Akihiko.

Fave Social Link: Gonna go with none here as well, since I've only finished the Magician and Chariot, and they didn't particularly "speak" to me even though they were OK. The one with the "Dying Man" and "Class President" seem interesting, but still at early stages with them so we'll see.
