Glad you liked it
Though should mention lots more about best P4 gurl Yukiko
9/10 would maybe read again
Hanako is best gurl. Most junk in the trunk.
9/10? Get that IGN rating sh*t out of here!
Nah, glad that you enjoyed reading it. It became unnecessary long and was thinking no one would bother with it, so thank you.
Yukiko is based. But so is Naoto. And even Rise. Can't choose a favorite! D:
Need to replay the game and do everyone's romance, that's like what? 8 playthroughs total? No big ![]()
So in the end how do you feel about the character's not being too assertive against stopping the shadows from going berserk? You mentioned not liking how the characters just stood there and let it happen. I had a different take on the situation but didn't want to say anything in particular until you finished game.
Mainly the way I interpret events it that initially the team's just not sure how to calm down the more negative aspects because of how unfamiliar they are with either the negative thoughts and emotions they're facing or the person they're trying to rescue. Cause well what do you say to an idol in the midst of her own identity crisis to calm her down anyways? Later when the characters start confronting their own negative emotions they start having a better understanding of Shadows but as Kanji points out during the confrontation with Shadow Naoto figure it might be better to let the shadows vent those emotions as they're being bottled up. That point seems to be reinforced a bit later as well when you track down Namatame and Yukiko mentions something similar about the experience while being terrifying did help them ultimately confront themselves and grow as people.
Yes yes, but I can't compare it when I haven't played it with the female character yet, you lobcock!
King Moron was actually not a half bad teacher. Brought up even individuality. Good Guy Moron.
Did you read that big thing I did on Persona 3 a while back bai da wayyyy?Yes, I brought this up above in my review, in how the game tried to tell you while also hinder you from discovering the truth.
This is exactly what I said too in my posts back then x)So in the end how do you feel about the character's not being too assertive against stopping the shadows from going berserk? Will Persona 5 be an alright spot in the series to start for someone who hasn't played the other ones?
Most important part is that you start playing any Persona game. So if P5 is the easiest for you to get started then sure. Would love to see you play P3 and P4 but getting started is the most important part

8? Sheesh! Better start playing then.
Well it's not a thing I have as much of an issue with as I did earlier, since as you say they later on come to terms with what the shadows are doing and actually state the fact.
HOWEVER, I do think they could have added this a lot earlier with Kanji, Rise and Teddie. Personally I found that the party (Yuki, Chie and Yosuke at this point) already had a certain understanding of what is going on, and during this point they wanted to avoid the fighting rather than having the person in question facing the shadow (with them always shouting right the second that the shadow transforms). I could have respected if the party actually talked and questioned what they should do, be uncertain of whether they should jump in and grab the victim, do nothing, and similar. Unfortunately during these particular events they resulted to only standing still with their mouth closed (other than an obvious line "that's them!")
Overall those three are the only confrontations I had problems with. The rest were fine.
Time to fix that, I say!
Soon™
He was certainly a lot more engaging than what they ended up getting after.
2milf4u, bruh?
Nah just kidding, she was creepy.
Did you read that big thing I did on Persona 3 a while back bai da wayyyy?![]()
I started with it, but I noticed that I had already read it here.
Didn't know you wrote for Game Theory. It certainly was a very intriguing, in depth read for me. I commend you for it.

They were arguably both creepy it's just that King Moron wasn't quite on her level, and he was actually amusing, while as you said, a better teacher than any credit he was granted led him out to be.2milf4u, bruh?

****. Too many people know my secret turn-ons around here now..
Can't even call them a secret anymore >_>
I'll see about writing something shorter for Persona 4 as well, if anybody wants to hear some coherent thoughts from me on that one as well.
Please do. Considering how much both games delve into, I'm certain there are plenty of aspects I missed or went through my head, so anything new (or just an expansion on something) is always appreciated.
Also gonna buy Ultimax tomorrow. So prepare yourself for a rumble, once I've gotten more accustomed to the game.

No wonder considering how much you gush about it whenever it is relevant ![]()
Sim is no longer here, as he was usually interested in some of the things I wrote and I still owe him that Bebop thing, which I'll still need to rectify along with Stein's Gate. D:Please do. Guess, I need to get back to it again as well. I'm usually playing Naoto in that game, so that'll most likely be whom I'll be gagming. I assume you'll get it for PS3, yes? Also gonna buy Ultimax tomorrow. So prepare yourself for a rumble, once I've gotten more accustomed to the game.

But, anyway, great! I'd actually love to finally put some coherent words into Persona 4 as well
I'd actually be surprised if no one else was interested in a P4 analysis here.

Yes, PS3. You can shoot me a Friend Request. It's Chewin3 (with a Nathan Drake avatar). Heading to bed right now, so will answer in the morning.
Of course I'll only battle you after I feel certain I can kick your ass. No way I'm giving you an easy win on a rookie. ![]()
True, in fact, I mostly write them because I want to, and it's a bonus if people likes them.I'd actually be surprised if no one else was interested in a P4 analysis here

So am I X3 I've gushed a fair bit about your writings in the A&M thread myself ![]()
S;G would be interesting since I have really mixed opinions on it myself.
@Chewin
It's true I do >_> Can't hold myself back when it's a concept I identify with so well.

Just so long as I don't have to write one, that might take a few weeks. Took me a day to organize and write down my thoughts on Naoto alone, ended up with like 3 pages worth.

Interesting that Chewbacca thought that the P3 cast were more together than the P4 cast. Man, I love Persona Q for addressing this very thing.
mmmmm Naoto's bosom in that group pic.

Even Persona 3 makes it clear that SEES is tighter knit as it does not need a figure head to keep them together (right in the Judgment social link it says unbreakable bond) Arena, Ultimax and Goldens epilogue show that without Yu, the group fractures into small groups. There is nothing wrong with this mind you, I like that SEES and IT are two vastly different groups with their own issues and hurdles.
SEES had a far tougher burden and went through far more **** together then IT really did, I still love IT though but it makes sense why SEES has such an unbreakable bond.

"You're..."
"Hey you guys shouldn't we stop her before we have to fight her sha-"
"Not..."
"UM, YOU GUYS, WE SHOULD REALLY TRY-"
"MEEEE!!!"
Quick question, I started playing Persona 4 recently and I'm wondering if I can expect actual gameplay? I've done one scripted fight so far and a couple of days have passed with pretty much no control. Kind of having difficulty getting into it.

Yup you do. After you get past the tutorial, you'll be free to do what you want.

I'm not denying the trials and tribulations SEES goes through. I'm recognizing the general impression you get of their group throughout most of the story which Atlus took the time to shed additional light on with certain events in Persona Q.

Oh I agree, I liked that when you play the P3 side in Q, the main focus is on SEES and them getting closer, along with showing the discord which at that time in P3 was a big hurdle for the group.
Thanks to Nyx and the Answer, SEES grew such a strong bound to the point where these characters will always be friends, no matter what. They don't need a figure head and it's mostly from the fact that they struggled so much, went through so much and they all share cone thing in common.
They have saw death firsthand

You make it sound like this is something that I would miss...
And need to get Persona Q as well. Both SEES and IT coming together? That is just too juicy of an opportunity not to miss!
Nah, I'm already well aware of your eye for detail. I was just pointing out that Persona Q sheds light on the struggles of them coming together.
