P4 side of PQ has way too much Teddie. Good thing I'll be able to breeze through a lot of it to get the nightmare over with ASAP. Everybody retains their +50 levels. I like how Margaret recognizes that your Persona is evolved already when you bring her those blank cards in the beginning.

Oh, I didn't know that, but I didn't pick new game plus, since I want a challenge. What I like about the P4 story is that Minato is speaking and his personality is infinitely more awesome than Narukami. But I'm liking the different conflicts and events of the P3 story right now.

Yeah I'm looking forward to hearing what Minato sounds like. Yu was just there during the P3 side. Didn't really have much input throughout the story. Which is better than Teddie who I wish would just die because he talks too much and every time he opens his mouth it's to say nothing of value.

As you should be, at the exclusion of the chibi designs. Especially for Smash. Something about them just feels too jarring over sticking with a design closer to the original art style.

To me the originals just make Persona feel more authentic but also quite stylish which is more or less the keyword -- Like, if we compare Persona to that of Devil Survivor, I can see the difference where others might say are in contrast to each other. People claim Devil Survivor might as well have been a Persona game, but I disagree, the character designs and stylish clothing looks generic and less authentic than Soejima's style for the main Persona games. Along with elements of the mechanics and how the story is conveyed, it's closer to Shin Megami Tensei than Persona. Catherine is probably the most stylish game from the P-studio game in terms of design anyway.
So basically what I'm saying is that I love Soejima's style, but in retrospect, the chibi designs are also his doing, but I prefer the stylish look of the main games of course. Kanji & Junpei just don't translate well to chibi-form.

Chibi design is a double edged sword. Some characters looked really good (Yukari and Naoto) and some where nightmare fuel (Junpei and Kanji)

Picked up one of the Devil Survivor games. The second one. I wanted the first one but since it's availability wasn't apparent I went with the second one while it's still on its first print run.
I have way too many SMT/Persona/Atlus games right now.
