Well Ken has a spear and Healing so was more useful at the time. He also doesn't have an obsession with using marin karin on a boss it doesn't work on.

Ran through P3 with Yukari/Aki/Mitsuru and never really changed because they covered all the spots i needed them to and if anything needed fixing i could do it

By the time Ken comes Yukari should already be higher and be a good healer. YOU HAVE FAILED, you have let Ken into your party.

I had to choose between dumping Junpei or Yukari when Mitsuru turned up so I flipped a coin and got heads Yukari. (Big mistake since I had to grind my ass off later)

Ken's abilities can best be summed up as useless given the fact that they can all be covered by pretty much everybody else. Yukari is a more competent healer -- Ken is weak against darkness, which is a bit annoying, as Yukari's can easier be covered up.

I generally switched my team all the time for plenty of reasons -- A major one would be that most of them serve a purpose of bringing in variation towards the different bosses, making most of the battles more easier because I would always have the right members for one particular battle, to cover strengths and weaknesses.

Heh I don't like ken more. I did say most of the characters. Ken is at the bottom of the SEES team for me. Fuuka>Aigis>Junpei>Mitsuru>Akihiko>Yukari>Koro>Ken

 

I think my problem with Yukari was she came across as very forced love interest similar to Liara.

A short while back I finally defeated the Optional Boss of Persona 4 -- Was kind proud of that. The reward is a Persona 3 reference and a foreshadowing for Persona 4 Arena.

The key difference is that Yukari, unlike Liara, is the best character and LI.

My SEES ranking would probably go Yukari > Mitsuru > Junpei > Akihiko > Koromaru > Aigis > Fuuka > Ken.

The gameplay is build around strategy and tactics of switching between healing or damage dealing for some characters

I think my strategy most of the time was: scan enemy -> hit their weakness -> all out attack. For bosses: rush -> heal with Yukari inbetween.
 

Typically why I divide bosses in the Persona series into sub bosses(Tartarus bosses for example) main bosses(Magician ect) then secret bosses(Liz ect) I find the sub bosses(floor guardians)  to be more of a hassle then the 12 arcana really. Jotun the Grief *shutters*

So, I guess it's safe to assume that bosses in the first two Persona games are tougher than those found in P3? What about P4? How would you rank the games in difficulty?

I found P4(except for Mitsuo the hero and base game Shadow Yukiko) easier then P3, even the secret boss was more easy then the three secret bosses in P3(one of them is even the secret boss of P4, but how it should have been) But P2 is alot harder on the PlayStation(don;'t know EP PSP port got nerfed though)The PSP port of IS was nerfed but it was still hard, but the last boss is a complete joke on the PSP where on the playsation he was extremely hard and made Nyx and Erebus look like childs play imo.

I highly doubt that's all you had to do to beat the bosses. Say what you will then. I will say though that FES' bosses were signifigantly more powerful than the ones in Portable.

There's also the Dancing Table in Tartarus. The first Persona game is shite. The second game's gameplay is shite, which makes battles a clusterfuck anyway, which I suppose you could say it's difficult. I keep hearing nonsense about how other JRPGs are more difficult, like FFX, even though the worst challenge in that game is when enemies decides to use one-shot kills out of the blue, which isn't challenging it's random annoyance, which also happens in Persona from time to time. While on the subject of that game, I feel it too and FFXII suffers from annoying gameplay. It's a problem I mainly have with a lot of JRPGs. The gameplay is sooooo dragging that the games become padded out because of it.

Best character in Persona 3 -- Yukari & Junpei

 

Best character in Persona 4 -- Kanji & Naoto

 

Although, I evidently love them all in Persona 4, whereas 3 only have 1 bad apple.
