What's even worse is that he's being replaced by the most generic voice of all time - Bryce Papenbrook.

Naoto is getting a new voice actress. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
That girl seems to be recast far too often.
What are we at now? 4? 5?

She's only been recast once, in the anime, this the second time though. Her new voice seems to be more of Teddie-difference, as opposed to Chie difference -- which is good.

I don't mind Papenbrook. I have enjoyed his performance when I've heard it. It's completely different from Willingham's though.

Maybe he already had too much other projects?

Troy Baker has said that number of projects isn't a concern with voice acting as far as I know -- Unless he had personal stuff to do then I don't think that's it.Maybe he already had too much other projects?

I haven't -- His voices are generally generic anime hero, especially in Durarara!! As Theodore he doesn't sit well with me at all.I don't mind Papenbrook. I have enjoyed his performance when I've heard it. It's completely different from Willingham's though.

His wife's returning (I imagine there would be a ****storm if not, ha). Still, maybe because it was because he was so minor that they have no issue with the recast. I doubt many have even heard Theodore.
Naoto's replacement sounds relatively similar from that clip. We'll see when it comes to the story scenes.

Yeah, I'm not really an anime watcher. I've come across him in Dynasty Warriors and he's pretty solid there although his role is minimal. His dad was a great VA though.
Different strokes!

Atlus are usually very careful with consistency in terms of the voices -- It doesn't matter if not all people have played Minako, although arguably alot of people have and as they should. Theodore had a voice and they should have stuck with it unless there were certain factors preventing it from happening. This is the company that retires a character in Japan after the voice actor's death we are talking about here.

It's a much bigger deal in Japan though. I don't imagine that they would even have half the hesitancy of replacing an English VA if the need arises. Plus, there's also the fact that Igor is a more central and iconic character.
Every single English sequel/rerelease has seen a replacement of one character at the very least.

Yup, VA's in japan are pretty much hollywood stars.
