It looks like Atlus will follow suit and give in to the temptations of retarded Day-One DLC practice, assuming she's releasing with the game. Well, as long as I won't have to pay for Adachi.

Opinions are mixed on Marie. I don't mind her, but Chris hates her.

Marie is awful because her sole existence is to be a McGuffin, explaining the sudden disappearance of the fog and "where it went" after Sagiri was defeated. She has absolutely no chemistry with any of the characters at all, yet somehow she becomes friends with them because "reasons" and she's obviously SO KEWL as  preached by the plot that has to tack her in. And just to be completely insuffereable, should one choose not to do her dungeon later on in the game, then she'll litterally fade from existence and it'll be as if she was never in the game to begin with, thus rendering her ultimate point... well, pointless. 

 

Her poems reek of awful writing, and almost half the time I enter the Velvet Room I have to suffer through them, and every single ****** time she complains that I shouldn't be reading her stuff, even though she leaves them lying around for me to snatch them up, because the game insists on having me revel in the AWESOMENESS that is Marie's 'writing from the heart', something we usually call poetry.... trash so to speak. 

 

Her personality has reached some sort of singularity for the whole "passive-aggressive-teenage-tsundere-trollop", which probably best sums up her character given she spends every single moment insulting the cast for their tastes in hobbies, clothing etc, and they just shrug it off and are like "HURHURHUR, SHE SO FUNNEH AND KEWL!"... There's barely any character that could possibly compare to her awfulness.

I liked Marie, but she wasn't my favorite either.

She's essentially the Lightning of Atlus or the Liara of Atlus -- Whichever Ali Hillis character you prefer for comparison.

 

Anyway, disregarding the awful for a bit -- Ultimax adds a lobby for online versus modes that will have a chat function. While in the lobby, you can control an avatar and will be able to check out places like schools and Junes. Neat!
