I don't mind Marie, she does feel tacked on at times but that's largely because she was. Naoto's hat will beat up her hat though, and yes I did mean that in the future tense. It's be the first round of P4U for me.

She was tacked on, indeed, hence why she's awful and a complete and utter waste of space for plenty of other potentially good content they could have added to Persona 4 at the time. The little amount of effort that went into her character was excrutiating, and now they are doing the Lightning thing, by trying to make her seem appealling through means of forcing her down the throats of the fans. 

 

Anyway, enough that awful character. Here are some new screenshots

Instead of Marie they should have done a female protagonist.    Or maybe done more with Adachi's social link and the accomplice ending.   

 

 

Marie is in the "meh" pile for me. The majority of females in P4 annoy me, so that's not any surprise. Naoto and Yumi are the only ones I like; Rise is semi-tolerable.

'Meh' also sums up my feelings about Marie. Don't like or dislike her. It was nice to give Izanami an avatar but her inclusion didn't really do anything for me as far as the narrative was concerned.

In retrospect, Narukami actually had a lot of dialogue as opposed to male protagonist of Persona 3. He could be sarcastic, kind, passive aggressive or laid back. That's something I'd like to see reflected in future protagonists too.

 

Also, when he told Yosuke to Calm the hell down, he only gained some more awesome points.

Considering that something is always more than nothing that's rather true. Narukami while skilled in the beautiful art of saying calm down did manage to express emotions at regular intervals. Progress!

I don't really recall many times that Yu utters that line? His dialogue is at best very distinct and varied between how one chooses to role-play him, in a similar fashion to that of the female protagonist in Portable. Minato, or whatever you wanna call him, were too passive, apathetic and silent for me to properly project any form of personality unto him, especially in social linking.

Man, I'd wish I could care about the former if it wasn't for the fact of the things I've mentioned previously, among them, being my main problems with Persona 2's story and characters. As for Maya.... eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeegh, she's okay.
