You two don't want a Naoto snuggle pillow? I am calling bull.
I have a Naoto figurine and I'm ordering a Sayaka one. Body pillows though? Nope. Figurines, shirts, mats ect are one thing, body pillows are a whole different level of nuh uh for me.

Looks like Bobross has been seriously incapictated lately -- Best recovery to him -- Here's a translated Teddie trailer
Man that sucks, hope he gets better, AND GODDAMIT TEDDIE LEAVE YUKARI ALONE, SHE'S NOT INTO FUZZY BEARS!
No, they skip far ahead -- They don't cover the main events of the game it seems. We don't see Yukiko or Chie facing their Shadows... in fact, we don't see any of the Shadow Selves.
Darn. I was hoping they would make Golden the "superior" version, more complimenting to the source material, like they did with FMA.
All this talking about it makes me want to rewatch the original. Or at least the good parts.
Only thing this golden anime has going for it is the art. Unless you're a massive Marie fan this anime will do nothing for you at all. I don't even dislike Marie and I'm getting annoyed with all this Marie crap. Atlus should just accept the fact that alot of people did not like her and forcing her in everything is not going to make people like her, it's just going to do more damage.
Episode 2 was better than the first one but the problem with this animation is that it feels a bit... pointless still, because it's sole existence seems to give Marie's character any sort of relevance to Persona 4, despite the fact that she has none. Now with her addition to Ultimax and Teddie even mentioning her in his trailer it just makes her shittyness come full circle.
Troy Baker is never "too cool for Persona" or "too Hollywood" - I think in the past I may have been a bit too harsh on him, granted he's mostly been replacing some of my favorite iconic characters, like Ocelot or The Joker. I'm also a big fan of giving more prompt to the lesser known voice actors, like Travis (he needs to be the MC of more stuff) and other anime actors. But I digress, he essentially explains his absence in this video and also that pretty much any role means a lot to him especially Kanji.
I can't say I agree with him though completely -- Especially in regards to Kanji's character but I guess he's been busy again but it's good to actually hear it from him. And yet at the same though. He still got that ego problem going on, that hasn't changed. In this convention it feels a bit like typical Troy Baker, who sometimes is a little too busy fishing for compliments or brushing up under his own door, especially when he talked about Dinklage's performance for Destiny. He did the same thing with Silent Hill 2's voice ver. Troy seems like a cool guy more than I thought but his ego is still so incredibly annoying sometimes.

Reminds me of that time when he called Ashley Johnson the most awesome and amazing person in the world. All in all I think he's a cool guy that does good work (loved him as Kanji and Vincent) but I think people might be less annoyed of him if he'd appear less or atleast don't become the protagonist of literally each game that's coming out.
I prefer VA's like Crispin Freeman. Totally relaxed, no ego problem, allround nice guy. But he sadly isn't as famous since he basically only does anime and npc's for video games - despite him beign a VA veteran.

They could also.. show her for those that do like her *gasp* Shocking revelation i'm sure but i trust you can survive this awful ordeal mostly unharmed
It isn't much about Marie having fans as it is Atlus' sloppy work of trying to make her role bear some sort of relevance to the overarching story, by forcefully placing her into the main plot for dumb reasons -- She wasn't mentioned in Arena not once, but now in Ultimax she's suddenly "just there". If you think about it -- Amada has fans too but he isn't shamelessly forced into an already established plot unlike the former. They both have something in common and that's the fact that they are about as important to the plot as that one funky student in Yasogami High. In retrospect, they both serve one crucial role, and that is being a plot-device for someone elses development, and finally they have no chemistry, whatsoever, with the main cast that doesn't come off as badly implemented and or written. In the first two episodes of the anime, she goes from a raging tsundere, to an emotionless trollop, and in that same anime, where the entire concept is based around her alone, she's shamelessly integrated into plot points of the game that she had no part of whatsoever.
It comes off as uninspired so to speak.
In this field we'd refer to it as a serious case of Square and or BioWare syndrome, where you take one character, give that character some explicably awesome traits (Marie can control the weather because reasons, for some reason she has a Persona now as well, and she can suave anybody to be her friend by insulting them) then force that character into the player's mouth like a mother trying to forcefully feed her infant with a spoon of potato mash.
Perhaps the problem wouldn't be as big of an annoyance if it wasn't for the fact that you can't avoid her either -- In Golden you have to save her if you want to unlock the best content, if you wanna watch the cool new stuff from Golden with the anime then you gonna have to deal with the fact that it's all gonna revolve around Marie -- She's also, for some reason, starring in the Persona Q spin-off because why not? Admittedly, you don't have to buy her DLC in Ultimax, but because she's in the game there'll be references to her and she'll most likely appear -- So unlike Ken, you can't ignore her in the original game of which she spawned, but like Ken you have to forcefully deal with the fact she's there, and unlike Ken you luckily don't have to play with her.
It such an ungratifying thing to see that if makes sense to make a game like Q canon and spoon-feed Marie in every new Persona game then why not just go ahead and make Minako appear as well -- I'd ****** buy that right away.

1:Marie can not use a persona. This was stated clearly in P4 by Margret. Marie has her own powers(weather)
2:She was never mentioned AT ALL in in Arena, now all of a sudden she is? That's not forcing a character into the story.
3: The ending in golden outright implies Yu never saw Marie after the fight with Izanami, hence his surprise when he saw she was working as a weather girl
4:The cap and bag where from the velvet room to do her duties there, she no longer works at the velvet room so why does she have this stuff?
She is being forced into a story and that's the issue. Marie is Lighting 2.0. All she needs now is a bust increase and a costume game and she's set.

Crispin Freeman voices an awesome character in Durarara!!! Perhaps his best character -- Get on with watching that one.
So anyway -- Elizabeth's trailer has been subbed.
Man, Elizabeth's Japanese VA is sweet. She's whimsical but mature. Still, it's not worth "bearing" Kuma.

I think Atlus would rather make up a way to bring Minato into the fold. I'm not sure if that's Atlus' fault or the fans'.
I rather have Minako then the blue haired brat.

Minato was a big fan favorite, so they brought him back.
Best part of episode 2 was Adachi riding the scooter.

I never got why he has so much popularity. Being the MC of the first Persona released in NA has something to do with it, I guess.
But see, Marie isn't a fan favorite, yet there she is. Minako, however, has an incredibly strong following.

And then getting punched by Dojima (his design is awful as always)

I really like Narukami a lot more in this anime -- He's awesome without being perfect.

Incidentally, Persona 4 Ultimax has an interactive lobby system now with avatars which is just sooo cool.

Naoto avatar!
That is Naoto indeed, Josh. Gaze upon her now because she'll be the one whom I beat your ass with online.
So, how will avatars work?
I'm hoping there will be a spectator/king of the hill system like in Mortal Kombat, where you can see the avatars line-up.
It'll be interactive, like you're playing a pseudo-version of the actual JRPG Persona games.

That one Marie move looks stupid.
