Update: I have in fact done that now, having finished P4. I'm loving how in this one everyone activates their Personas by "shooting" themselves in the head, but not being able to control my party directly is frustrating as hell.Good man - Now buy Persona 3 FES on PSN next!
On an unrelated note, what's up with Junpei's neck in that picture above? He looks like a giraffe.

I don't know - Thought his neck was already absurdly long. Think it's just the angle of his portrait.
Uhmm, unless you weren't talking about the trailer -- In that case then, it's just bad photoshopping, lol.

I can see how one would prefer having control over the party but as long as you manage your tactics right and keep leveling up consistently then you should be okay. I was doing fine when I played the game the first time and that was before I played Persona 4.

I prefer Vic as Edward. Not saying he did a bad job as Junpei ofcourse - I still liked it. Its just that Junpei sounds more whiney when Vic voices him.
But, I guess that's part of Junpei's character.

I don't think that at all -- Vic sounds perfect and as Junpei grows as a character so does Vic's voice change to accomodate it. Vic is what makes Junpei among the best characters in Persona 3 with lines like "Who's DA-MAN?!" or "TA-DA-DA-Junpei has leveled up".
There's an authentic teenage-vibe to his voice in scenes with Chidori, where he truly sells it. His voice is what I'd consider the most authentic in that game.

Fair enough. I guess because I never really cared about him as a character that much - that it I feel that way about it.
Then again, I never played as Minako - so I didn't get to experience his SL.

I wasn't referring to the female path -- I was referring to my experience with him in general, especially with that of FES. Because he actually gets the best development in the male path, partly because his character has a larger sense of progression, due to the fact that he's with you from the start, and goes from being a rival to what I'd consider a best friend to the main character. He has arcs so to speak. He's closer to the main character than most of them, alongside Yukari, hence why what happens in the game affects him & her the most. Where Junpei's qualities really breakthrough, as a well-written character, is among other things in how he's presented. He comes off as a cool & believeable character, the kind of person we've all known from High school, the kind of teenager with insecurities & defensivess which might have come off as annoying, weren't it for the way he's portrayed and written. It's essentially what makes him authentic.,

I see. Maybe I'll just have to replay the game then to get a beter perspective of him. I have never really cared much for him, but I'll give it another shot.

That's a shame. It's really just my opinion but from my experience I thought of him as the most memorable, really.

Junpei with Minako, better then Brosuke imo. He's a true brother! Then again I think Minako and her connections where better then both Yu and Minato.
Also like many of the characters in Persona, Vic is Junpei. Junpei is not like Brosuke, jealousy is a big part of his character and Vic sells it good.

Stupei!
Yeah, lack of party control in P3 is pretty jarring after playing P4. I played P3 beforehand so I didn't really 'miss it'. It makes it harder to go back though. Might just end up picking up P3P on my Vita.

Isn't he supposed to sound like a whiney git? Well, initially.
