I don't take as much issue with this as you seem to. The fact that they won't remember and that it changes nothing in terms of the main canon doesn't matter to me. The interactions are still there. I'll readily admit that it's mindless fanservice but I think that's  a great way to farewell a series. The events in Ultimax ultimately do matter more in the grand scheme of things but that means nothing to me, really, because I'm not fond of the presentation or the way that some events ended up playing out.

Well, if you didn't like the first Arena then I suppose there's nothing to do about it. I just don't care for a story that ultimately leads to nothing, no closure, nothing, hence why ME3 is partially such an awful game, and why I don't care for Persona 2 that much, but that's just me. I don't care for stories that don't know how to provide with consistent closure or at the very least makes it feel all worth the while. 

Anyway, guess it's just Josh I'll beat up in Ultimax then along with another fellow Persona fan of mine if he ends up getting the sequel too.

It's like you said, different strokes and all. I'm not a fan of Adachi baby as most seem to be so that isn't as much a negative. Theo being voiced by Papenbrook on the other hand...

Excited for TGS but worried at the same time. I'd like to see more of our protagonist but I'd rather avoid seeing companions and the like. That's how I went into 3 and 4 at least.

I went into the games not knowing anything about any of them -- I think it's hard to do the same now that one is a fan. I just don't wanna spoil anything outside of combat, perchance.

Contrary to what the rest thinks, I had fun with Persona 3 the moment the game started, mostly due to it placing me straight into the action and you gain your Persona almost immediately, while also getting a taste of the Dark Hour, whereas Persona 4 was essentially just a big pile of dialogue, dialogue and dialogue.

 

You also get to spend a lot of time doing the stuff that makes Persona fun, which isn't as much the combat, as it is the social linking and getting to know the characters. As a result, it becomes easier to sympathize and caring about them when **** hits the fan later. But I've said before why I think Persona 4's story is particularly weaker, compared to 3, so yeah.

 

Personally, I thought P3 was fun at the beginning, although it's been awhile since I've played it. I distinctly recall the mystery and intrigue of not really knowing what was going on, what the dark hour was, why Mitsuru and Yukari were so evasive, etc. I don't remember if summer was any better or worse, etc, it was fine also I'm sure.

 

Usually whenever Aigis or Yukari was involved I was paying more attention. The dungeon was the exact same thing regardless of season so it didn't matter anyway.

 

Actually now that I think about it that seemed like the coolest part of Innocent Sin, the whole not knowing what's going on, who the characters are even going to be, and that cell phone thing with the Joker appearing just creeped me out.

I'm guessing either another 'chair' or a look at a piece of the scenario otherwise. I'd actually prefer the latter, but feel more confident we're going to see a new character.

Naoto's new voice is okay, it's alright -- Margaret's isn't though neither is Igor's.

I also didn't mind Sam Riegel as Teddie in Golden.

I never did like Erin Fitzgerald as Chie though -- The notion that all high school girls has to have a high pitch squeeky voice like they've inhaled 3 doses of helium is just dumb to me.

Looks like, for the first time ever, Atlus will actually show some of their games on TGS, in this case Persona 5.

 

TGS might actually matter again.

Given the fact that Tokyo Game Show has never been a place for Atlus announcing their games in the past, nor has it for any major JRPG developer or anything remotely related to Japanese gaming in years, I'm not holding my breath. Tokyo Game Show is a shell of its former self. It could happen, sure, but there's plenty of opportunity for it disappointment. It wouldn't be the first time.

They didn't announce it at TGS, Milan. That's what you said. What I was arguing back then as quoted above is that they never announce their games at big concentions. I'll admit I'm surprised they are gonna show anything, if not the same trailer again. Who knows.
