Kinda makes sense, having four Persona games come out in such a short span is kinda silly, so moving Persona 5 and Dancing all night to next year is a better idea(plus they have more time to polish P5)

DeSu 2 BR is a unique case as it is in the same position as FE x SMT because thanks to the Index fiasco both games became screwed, we're even lucky we're still getting BR, even if it comes out next year, the fate for SMT x FE is still "it's being worked on"

Thankfully the index fiasco did not harm P5.

Persona 5 wasn't gonna be released in 2014 -- That isn't really a delay.

Dancing, however, is a bit of a surprise.

What's not surprising is that there isn't any new trailer. It was most likely the same trailer again.

The release date was still changed to another date, which changes NA date. It was a delay.

There is no release date you twerb. There never was -- Do I need to bring up the Catherine example again?

Wow.

I had no idea that Teddie's JP voice was that insufferable.

There's always a release date, just because it's not shown to the public does not mean the devs don't have a estimation. The first trailer for P5 was winter 2004, the second trailer just says 2005. There's no reason to opt out for winter 2004 if it comes out in January or February. Bloody hell, Broken Record has a release date, yet you're telling me Atlus biggest game is just going to state a year if the game is coming out in January and February even though all their announced games that where announced with P5 had dates too and those dates where not that far from the announcement(just like with DeSu 2 Broken Record)

There isn't ****** release date when it's not being announced to the public, because if it isn't announced to the public then it's not a release date now is it? You announce a release date to the public when you're confident and fully fledged on setting its release to that exact date. And they haven't done that, now have they? An estimation is not a release date and it doesn't take a genius to figure that out -- This whole thing is a recurring pattern that has been going with Persona since Persona 3.

I really don't feel like bringing out the Catherine example again but it feels like you haven't learned from that I suppose. So I just might have to.

If I started filming, for instance, a film and I could calculate that the process would probably be finished in at least 2016 -- It's not concrete, it's not a release date, but it's an estimation on when I think I'll be done and ready to release.

That's not a release date, it's an estimation calculated by producers and marketeers but it's not something that should be taken as a release date since estimations tends to be off-base a lot given that working on such a big project can change things. It is not, however, a concrete release where confidence is placed on it being ready for showing for the public.

The reason why you have a Deadline is to push yourself and your co-workers to get it properly done within a satisfying time period of which you'd calculate would be enough.

So adorable that you cling to your Catherine example like it's a bible or universal law.

Anyways on a more productive conversation, the delay might have to do with DINGO.

Catherine is Atlus' last big home console release so it's pretty relevant to how Atlus sort their ****.

I'm actually pretty keen for Dancing All Night, although it might just be because I've been feeling a Bust A Move nostalgia wave.

The Catherine example is relevant because it's Atlus and the P-studio -- Why is that ****** hard to understand for you?

The game was slated for release in Winter 2014, slated, that is to say not given a concrete release date. Hence it's not really a delay in the same manner that Dragon Age Inquisition was delayed from October 9th to November 21st.

In fact, it was released in February 2010, which is still Winter 2009, as Winter doesn't start and stop in December, that's the whole debacle I had earlier in relations to the Catherine comparison.

Personally, I think it's adorable why you're trying to argue something as pointless as this.

Josh, I know it's hard to not always 'being in the right' in some discussions but at least be courteous about it, why don't you?

Now we are done.

Just reached January in Portable. It's safe to say that the wind has been ripped from my sails. No social links and endless training make me go something something.

This is made even worse because of December. The only party social links I've completed are Fuuka's, Koro's and Shinji's. I had Yukari at Lv. 8, Junpei and Aki at Lv. 5 and Mitsuru at Lv. 3.

I couldn't figure out how to start Aigis' and so didn't get any progress on the Aeon arcana.

I've finished everyone else's though with the exception of Ryoji although I kind of ****** myself over on that one because I opted to spend the day with Yukari instead of him on one of the school days.

You have to spend every day you can with him, otherwise you won't make it.

Well I could always say that Atlus brought out Overclocked to NA first, before Japan. Which is the only time Atlus ever did that and that it was a big thing, but you would probably bring out Catherine again and we've been down that chestnut there and back again.

I figured some good ol snark might lighten up the mood and bring us back on-topic with what I just posed with DINGO.

You can not skip any of Ryojis events. It will break the social link for good.

What does that have to do with anything? You are arguing that Persona 5 has been delayed when it hasn't even gotten a release date so it's hard to argue anything to the contrary. The Catherine example is an apt comparison because it was also slated for Winter 2009 and was released in February. Not a delay given it was still Winter 2009 and no actual release date was provided. Now I've pointed it out for you. Kthxbai.

I figured as much afterwards, I just thought that I'd get the opportunity to quickly finish Yukari's S Link but no bingo. Overestimated the amount of time I had left.

The party S.Links should have been accessible at nights though. Obviously some context would have to change but it's just amazing how many nights I had where I had jack all to do.

Yeah, in Golden you have the neat opportunity of boosting your links at night. I always thought it was weird you couldn't go out at night in the original game.

Shinji and Ryoji's links are very strictly limited to a tight schedule.
