Digital Devil Saga is arriving on the 'Murican PSN. It is highly recommended if you ask me -- Thought it was more fun than Nocturne.

Seriously though, I think I wanted to get Persona 3 after beating Persona 4. So I skipped on it at the time. I heard it was good though

Well, in retrospect, I've skipped out on games that otherwise turned out to be good. I didn't play many JRPGs in my youth at all. I guess my fascination for good storytelling these days, given that I study it, has opened my eyes to almost anything in any medium as long as its quality and worth experiencing.

 

What I like about Digital Devil Saga is that it employs the gameplay of Nocturne with some unique features and mechanics to this game. One thing would be shape-shifting, which is tied to the story, the characters can shapeshift into demons. The idea is then to strengthen the demon form, while you can still fight in the original form too. There are a couple of more changes that distance it from Nocturne a bit but otherwise it should seem familiar. Also the characters are great and the storyline is intriguing.

No, just no. It should have been Adachi, not a dog(an awesaome dog mind you but still a dog) and a pos little brat. FFS they are not even popular characters. This is complete and utter BS.

Well, technically Koromaru is a bit higher than Adachi, ironically, and Minako (scandalous). Although, Ken is not.. hehe

Having now almost finished P3 (I'm in January now) I agree with you all that Ken totally sucks.

Also, that popularity list TheChris just posted is completely wack. Yukari down at #20? Kanji the lowest out of the entire P4 party, and Yosuke the highest? I don't even...

Yeah, no Stupei is definitely another issue with the list.

I figure I should be able to beat Nyx without too much trouble; I've been playing on Easy (because of the save system that frequently forces you to redo half an hour of game each time you die, which I don't have the patience for) and I still have pretty much all of my Plumes of Dusk left, so I should be good.

In that case, it shouldn't be any trouble at all. I played on Normal since I require at least a bit of a challenge in any game I play. What I usually do, if I know I'm about to die while traversing Tartarus is using the Teleporters to get back. Obviously, if you haven't reached the teleporters next to the boss you'll have to go back from the last checkpoint... On the plus side, however, you get your health and SP restored. So there is that.
