When Vivienne was first introduced, my reaction was kind of...lukewarm. "Oh, an Orlesian mage. Alright." Something about her design in the character guide or whatever sold me on her. The fact that there's armor hidden within her dress, how it blends in perfectly with her clothing, it spoke volumes to me about her personality, more than her letter even. Depending on some of the upcoming companion reveals, she just might end up in my party on my first playthrough, or my second at the latest.
Olenna Tyrell: "Loras is young and very good at knocking men off horses with a stick. That does not make him wise. As to your fathead father..."
Margaery Tyrell: "Grandmother! What will Sansa think of us?"
Olenna Tyrell: "She might think we have some wits about us, one of us at any rate."
I';m sure she'll be an intereesting character, but I don't think i'm going to particularly like her. I don't like characters like Wynne and her that are mages that are pro-circle, pro-templar.
I find liking or disliking companions based on their politics or class odd.
I think it's understandable enough. Classism works in a variety of ways: it's not just upper looking down sneeringly down below, it can be the insecurity and jealousy towards those above. Then there are people who, for whatever reason whether personal insecurity or historical encounter, who are sensitive to even the impression of being looked down upon.
Politics is even more so, if you consider a certain field of politics one with a clearly morally correct answer- especially when context leading to an incorrect answer can itself be seen as a moral failing. Vivienne's unapologetic stance of not only being for the Circle status quo, but having an obvious motive of selfishness in wanting to preserve her own privilages, is an easy target for being judged a bad person from afar. And possibly even from close.

It's not at all uncommon for one's politics to be heavily determined by one's morality, in any possible direction.
I'm hoping Vivienne is one of the first companions we pick up, she's hot and she has swag

I've pictured her a couple of times walking into a ball like she owned the place. And if she had a flaring skirt, I think it would look like this:

Is there a gif for every possible situation? lol

This is the internet. So, yes. ![]()
In the consept art, it looks like Vivienne is bald. Do you people think that she really is bald? Or is it just a consept art thing?
Oh she's bald alright. Don't let nobody tell ya any different ya hear?
As the Undisputed Truth would say "smiling faces tell lies." I am here to inform you, dear OrayMoor, that bald heads are more of the same.
In the Cullen thread Potato Cat pointed out that Vivienne is most likely voiced by Natasha Little, who was the VA for the female Sith warrior in SWTOR. ![]()

Someone in the Cullen thread (sorry for forgetting who) pointed out that Vivienne is most likely voiced by Natasha Little, who was the VA for the human Sith lord (I think that was it) in SWTOR.
Sounds good.

Oh, interesting. I have to check that voice. Now, if only the Inquisitor was voiced by the guy and gal who voice the Sith Inquisitor, the irony would be perfect XD

Booooo, I wanted that to be one of voices for Fem Inquisitor
Meh, female actors always sound good to me, unlike the male ones.

That's exciting if true. She also voiced Janeka in the DA2 Legacy DLC...I wonder why they think it's her?
I thought Vivienne sounded like Natasha when I heard her voice. That's awesome, if she is. She's one of the VAs I most wanted to hear in DA:I (*fingers crossed for Xanthe Elbrick to be one of the femquisitors*), although I doubt it will do anything to dissuade people put off by Vivienne's imperious demeanor. ![]()
There is no 'human Sith Lord' voice in The Old Republic.
There's a male and female Sith Warrior voice for all races, and a male and female Sith Inquisitor voice for all races. Natasha Little plays the female Sith Warrior.
Ah my mistake, I've never personally played the game. ![]()
He is.
Is he? I think Gaider posted that the male voice actor hasn't done any acting in games before.
