Sometimes I get a little annoyed with actors cast way from a clearly different ethnicity than their characters in live action, but in voice acting I don't think there should be much of a restriction.

Having to have a reason for POC to exist, tho, is a little messed up. It would have been entirely possible to just have some members of the clans be visibly non-white. Travel did exist back then, is what I am saying. They could have been Roman soldiers who were so overcome by their love of haggis or something that they defected. There is room in any setting for POC because POC have existed everywhere in life throughout every time period. That's been proven.  So even places that are supposed to represent real-life places should have brown and black people somewhere, although more generally in the nobility than the peasantry because obviously nobles travelled around more.

 

 

I'd have to disagree with that.

 

The population of ancient Caledonia (now Scotland) would have been almost entirely, if not entirely, white. In no way would people of color be slighted by the lack of African characters in a film set in an era and region where there were few if any Africans. Shoehorning African characters in would be a bit like having people of European or East Asian descent running around in a film set in ancient sub-Saharan Africa or the pre-Columbian Americas.

Yes.

 

You can also see it in the teaser trailer and in the concept art. He's got a scar over one of his eyes and he's either blind, or completely missing that eye.
