Getting back on topic, I think that Vivienne and Cassandra are probably going to butt heads.  I'm not sure about Vivienne, but I'm sure growing up in The Game has affected her some.  Whereas Cass reminds me of Aveline: A real Joe Friday type (by the book and "Just the facts, ma'am) that probably has a thick layer of emotional armor to go with the physical one.

Yeah, I imagine there will be tension between them. That's a pretty good analogue between Cassandra and Aveline, they both weren't that fond of Varric's tall tales.

Plus, I think Viv is more of an 'ends justify the means' type. More pragmatic, ruthless. I'm not saying that Cassandra isn't willing to sacrifice, it's just that I feel she leans more towards a sympathetic outlook.

Does anyone see anything?  All I see is a bunch of hot air that's best ignored.  Smells foul too, like sewage.

@Xil Don't bother talking to the sewer gas illusion over there.  It isn't worth it.

Agreed, the mods will deal with him sooner or later.

Back on topic, I'm really looking forward to having Vivienne in my party. She is sassy as hell, the banter will be amazing.

I love the ignore function B) .

What do you guys think is Vivienne's confraternity? I'm conflicted between Aequitarians and Lucrosians.

Lucrosian is a perspective we haven't had yet, to be sure, but it also seems to be an... unpleasant one. That said, I'd be interested in learning more about it.

The real question is, what ends will she seek?

I really do like her concept art a lot!  She looks so fashionably BA it blows my mind.

I feel that even though not all of my Inquisitors will agree with her, I ,without a doubt, will love her as a character.

Why do you think the Lucrosian perspective is unpleasant?

Why do you think the Lucrosian perspective is unpleasant?

They focus overly on money and were willing to sell out the rest of the mages at the final vote. The Loyalists are obvious problems too; the Isolationists may have just been scared.

Being rich and and powerful is unpleasant? Damn :)

Ah, so it has (partially at least) to do with the vote at the end of Asunder. Got it.

That's the Tevinter magisters not the Lucrosians you are talking about.

Not inherently, but some of the things many people do to become such..

There's a lot of that, but I never heard anything good about them before this either.

I can see why that would be unpleasant for some.  It would be great for the Lucrosian, but not so pleasant for everyone else.

They didn't have much screentime in past games, other than some like of dialogue stating that they care only about money. I'm willing to see/read more before giving a full judgment.

I'm not making a full judgment precisely... but I'm wary.

Lucrosians are a very small group anyway. Can they make any difference?

Liberals are so insecure they can't debate with a lone racist "troll" and resort to ignoring him! Live in your fantasy world until your nations become third-world sh!tholes from the sheer influx of Apefricans.

God who cares? I'm here to talk about Dragons and sh*t.

I asked which confraternity do you think Vivienne is part of. I think it's either Aequitarian or Lucrosian.

I hope she's a Lucrosian, it will be a lot harder to reason with a Aequitarian for me.

I hope she isn't Libertarian. I am so tired of those idiots.

Why so? The Aequitarians did vote to leave the Chantry.

Me too, but it will be easier to reason with them as well.

I agree. They definitely seem like a strong candidate for the bickering squadmates role.

Leaving the Chantry doesn't mean they changed their stance overall, which KainD disliked, since he advocates for mage supremacy.

My canon character would likely get along better with the Aequitarians than the Libertarians. I'd likely try to support the first over the latter, and make their stance/goal (if there'll be different ones) win.

My personal hope is that their goals don't differ, as they didn't differ in the vote.

This is VERY wishful thinking, but if possible I would like to encourage mages to follow Tevinter ways, minus the chantry ( even if it's black divine ).

I just need to show mages flaws in their reasoning.

Isolationists need to understand that there is no real way to be separate from other people, it's impossible, everybody still lives in the same world and will bump into each other sooner or latter, it's only a matter of time. I think they can be reasoned with.

Libertarians need to understand that mages and mundanes can never be truly equal, and that only one party gets the real freedom - the one that oppresses the other. It's either mages locked away, or mages rule supreme. I think these guys can also be reasoned with.

Lucrosians want wealth and power, and they will get it. Easiest ones to reason with imo.

Now we have Loyalists, which mostly consists of people who hate themselves and magic, which I don't think could be reasoned with for that reason.

And we have Aequitarians who imo are naive and wishful thinking people on their high horse with ''morals'', so they probably can't be reasoned with as easy.

So yeah.
