It might be that the mages' goals are more akin to the Aequitarian than the Libertarian though (as the opposite could happen). Would you be fine with it?My personal hope is that their goals don't differ, as they didn't differ in the vote.
Let's talk Vivienne!

I honestly doubt that Bioware will make the mage rebellion develop like Tevinter. This is VERY wishful thinking, but if possible I would like to encourage mages to follow Tevinter ways, minus the chantry ( even if it's black divine ).
I just need to show mages flaws in their reasoning.
Isolationists need to understand that there is no real way to be separate from other people, it's impossible, everybody still lives in the same world and will bump into each other sooner or latter, it's only a matter of time. I think they can be reasoned with.
Libertarians need to understand that mages and mundanes can never be truly equal, and that only one party gets the real freedom - the one that oppresses the other. It's either mages locked away, or mages rule supreme. I think these guys can also be reasoned with.
Lucrosians want wealth and power, and they will get it. Easiest ones to reason with imo.
Now we have Loyalists, which mostly consists of people who hate themselves and magic, which I don't think could be reasoned with for that reason.
And we have Aequitarians who imo are naive and wishful thinking people on their high horse with ''morals'', so they probably can't be reasoned with as easy.
So yeah.

From the total range of possibilities that are likely to actually happen, I should be fine with it, yet. I believe firmly that the pro-mage and pro-Chantry options are equals in moderation, with the templars being on the same level as Tevinter. And, I suppose, KainD.

No, I realize that I might not get any big choices and plot development on the matter, you know - maybe it's not the time, maybe it's not the place. But what I would like is to be able to express my stance on the matter and get some feedback, and if Vivienne would agree, I would get a trust worthy ally and a friend.

The one above you is going to beat you to it. No competition.
The topic being derailed seems inevitable considering it is a question about whether a character is dark skinned or not. (which she clearly is) But I see what you mean. ![]()
I have, however seen a thread about the dev diaries derail almost instantly into a food thread. It really is quite remarkable how quickly the BSN threads vacillate from the thread subject to something else entirely. It must be curse or something.

The sewer gas has been dispelled, so we don't need to worry about that particular type coming back.
Honestly, with a few exceptions, the thread has been delightfully on topic and even fun. I hope when I wake up this afternoon, it'll still be here and on topic.
Gotta love the graveyard shift. It's almost sleepy time.

If they brought back character specific skill trees (I quite liked them, they gave the companions a little more individuality) what do you think Vivienne's speciality would be?

From previous games? Force mage, I'd say. But it may well be something new.

I asked which confraternity do you think Vivienne is part of. I think it's either Aequitarian or Lucrosian.

She is likely Lucrosian.
She sounded like an influence and wealth hog.
Aka some my inquisitor is going to get along with splendidly. (Sarcasm)

If from previous games, I could definitely see her as a Force Mage. She definitely seems to be all about the brute force of magic.

Glamour mage.
Among her arsenal would be such spells as deadly perfume gasses and blinding sparkles.

Ok, so she is, "officially," Rivaini. Makes sense.
The first thing I thought when I saw her "iconic" outfit is that she stepped right out of a Mardi Gras parade.
Well, she's also Orlesian. I think that probably accounts for the Mardi Gras bit.

Well she was kinda sassy in the demo especially to Cassandra. She called her "my dear" and it sounded kinda condescending I think she said "my dear, we've rendered them all expendable".
I think she sounds awesome tbh.

Especially the noble clothes.
Yeah I mean at least the poor people can't afford to look good. The nobles choose to look that tacky.

I always assumed she was an Aequatarian since they seem most dominant. Recently though, I considered she may well be Lucrosian. It certainly would be interesting, we haven't seen many of them.
It would be very nice to get some confirmation on her Fraternity, (hint hintity hint hint), assuming of course she found one fabulous enough for her.
