While Redcliffe probably wasn't a legitimate target for that kind of thing, that's not to say that no place would be.

 

Of course, since this isn't a total war between nations, it seems highly unlikely that any such place would exist, but it's theoretically possible.

I am just very fascinated by their culture. I'd like to pick through their brains. Everyone knows I love Tevinter for many reasons, but I just would really think it could be interesting to see what or why is their driving force. That's part of the reason I'm so excited for Dorian.

I doubt the Venatori is a good source to learn about Tevinter culture, Dorian would solve that for you as you said

The codex entry of Tevinter actually states that they'd have tried of conquering Thedas back if not for the Qunari's presence. Their struggle in the North prevents an invasion. The moment one of them will win over the other, it'll be clear who will invade the rest of Thedas.
Unless they'll form an unholy alliance. In this case, good luck Thedas .
I wasn't saying one is better then the other. I'm saying that the more info we got the more I want them to be crushed (with the expection of Mae and probably Dorian).
