The question is... will her steel be aimed in the same direction as my fire?
Let's talk Vivienne!

It could be...but that might not be a bad thing. You could help temper that inner steel with your fire and hopefully work towards your goals. We'll see. ![]()
I'm really curious as to how we'll affect our companions, including Lady Vivi. I know that they (sadly) got rid of the Friendly/Rivalry system and went back to a positive/negative affection system for the companions. I just don't want to turn into anyone's "yes man" just to make sure they don't leave my party. I'm hoping a lot of my views either match Vivi's or at least don't horribly clash (like Morrigan.)

Since I had never heard of that dish before, I had to look it up. This sounds a little morbid and very expensive. Illegal to cook currently in France too:

Here's another bit I found about Ortolan Bunting:

Okay, I think I can confirm that Vivienne is going to have a lot of steel under that silk and lace. I know about her nickname, but that sealed the deal. I see a pretty ruthless woman here.
That food sounds horrific. Who thought it up, Freddy Krueger?

I guess the French believed that sadism adds spice.

Hmm, since Orlais is like France it makes me wonder what terrible things they did to the cow to make the cheese "taste like despair".

You never know with those Orlesians. For all we know, they could be milking and butchering the cow simultaneously. The cheese ends up with a slightly nutty, but strangely harrowing aftertaste.

That stuff should taste like despair.

And yet another reason to hope for the ability to give the Dalish nuclear-sized bombs, like Anders' bomb but able to destroy entire cities at a time.

Me neither lol, that's literally all anyone talked about on Tumblr and I don't understand why.
Lmao there was one post that was like:
"Friendly reminder the circle of magi didn't treat Vivienne differently for having a lisp"
and now I think it's hiiiilllllarious that she doesn't even have one. People jump on the bandwagon with small details like that a lot.

Vivienne does have a nervous tick though. Prepare to be distracted by random shoulder twitching.

In a world where transportation infrastructure is well... nonexistent it would be unusual to see such skin tones in an area with a climate similar to Europe, which is what Ferelden and Orlais are iirc
I assumed that at least particularly studious and respected mages at least would go from circle to circle for study, so while their mobility would remain mostly the same no matter what country they were in, they might get to move countries more often than non magical folks.

As long as we'll have the option to annihilate dalish from Thedas. And that's coming from a pro-dalish/elf.And yet another reason to hope for the ability to give the Dalish nuclear-sized bombs, like Anders' bomb but able to destroy entire cities at a time.
Not that I think that either things will be possible (or should be possible).

I am quite happy it is illegal...
The chefs that prepared this should be equally thankful that it is illegal to do the same to them.
Carry on with the usual Vivienne discussion!

You might not want to know what we currently do to the animals we eat. Suffice to say, this isn't the first time I've read about forcefeeding little birds.I am quite happy it is illegal...

That's one thing I liked about living in the country. All of my meals were shot in the woods.

Vivienne seems to be a diva-ish type of person...
A Diva Mage...
The problem with that is I cannot for the life of me stand diva people in real life. Hope she has something more than just fabulous-ness.

Well, according to what little we know about her, and the good comparison, she's quite ruthless.
It would be most interesting to see how she channels her ruthlessness, her divaness given that everything she wanted, she wished for (except fabulous clothes) are gone.
Will she turn to anger, and be violent and more extreme ? Will she just break down ? Or will she become even more prideful to mask her losses ?
That's the interesting question with Vivienne.
On a funny note, I hope we get some funny dialogue if we bring her to filthy, swampy, muddy, dirty places which can ruin her fabulous clothes. & then have Varric say something along the lines of "Hah ! No wonder Rivaini never wore pants !, Maybe you should do that too.."
Wonder what Varric will call her / nickname here.

I only play as a mage and not any other class. I'm cutting myself short from other pov, but thats just how I role. With the Circle no more and the mages inable to practice their magic in a safe enviorment It doesn't surprise me to see that a unstable mage is responsible for the veil being torn.

That explains so much about you.
