Wonder what Varric will call her / nickname here.

She already has a nickname, Madame de Fer, he might stick to it in fear of getting roasted.

Just like he nicknamed Cassandra, Seeker, which isn't much of a nickname, but it won't make her try to turn him into an inert mass of skin, bones and blood.

And yet another reason to hope for the ability to give the Dalish nuclear-sized bombs, like Anders' bomb but able to destroy entire cities at a time.

Only if you're feeling bad and oppressed.  Then it does.

Will we get to see Vivienne with her hair down and not in the big points?

That explains so much about you.

Some people just prefer the combat style of a mage, and the Vashoth and Dalish mages may have some interesting dialogue options with the very Orlesian Vivienne. The same may also be true for the Dwarf, if Kal-Sharok is their place of origin.

I don't know I would assume so. If you romance her is she going to leave her pointy hat or head gear on during the romancing? Feel like that is a question that would be asked if Seinfeld or Curb your enthusiam was playing the game. If he is Orlesian and is known for looking her best at all times you'd think she'd have perfectly done hair when not wearing the hat thing.

I know Vivi is going to be pro-circle, but I don't think she wants it to be the exact same way it was before. I mean if the mages rebel the first time, they're going to rebel again if it is the same. I think she is only pro-circle for helping young mages that won't know what to do with their power. Think about it…how are non-mage parents going to teach their mage child how to use their magic? So I can see why the circle still needs to be around, but just modify a little.

When asked to compare Vivi to food on twitter, Mary's answer was "Ortolan Bunting." It's a French dish, and to be honest, a bit sadistic. Imagine Vivi torture prisoners for info lol

Yeah, I put the descriptions up on the last page.  I believe Mary also said (when talking about Vivi's fashion) something about Vivi's boots being made out of the flayed skin of her political enemies.  Even if that's just a metaphor, she sounds more than a little hardcore.

But the way she tortures them is forcing the prisoner in Ferelden rags, refusing to allow them to wear anything else.

Yeah. I'm still waiting for a system better than the circle where mages can receive education, training and could be, aknowledged, could be safe without fearing neighborhood. Like I said many times, the chantry shouldn't handle directly the circles. That is the biggest issue. Nothing can be resolved when religion interferes into security affairs. Revolution, revolution, revolution, this isn't what will improve the life of mages; without compromises, without real constructive and productive plans.

Also, Vivienne is an enchanter. She has certainly some experiences. She has seen the bad and good sides of this system  The worst and the best things. She might have some ideas about how to reform the circle, her opinion might be, I don't know, relevant ? If she is determined to defend this system, it might be also because she knows the subject very well ?   ( I'd wait before choosing to dislike already her opinion... )

I can't wait to know more about her point of view.

As for being a ruthless woman, well Morrigan was one too, it never bothered me. I'm quite ruthless too anyways.

Being ruthless with enemies doesn't mean she'd sell her best friend for her purpose.
Until we'll learn more, I'd prefer her over Adrian.
Plus, are you sure you'd want Adrian? They might give us the option of kill Vivienne at one point, you know. I doubt you'd be fine with the option of killin Adrian.

I'll grant the last point, but I believe they shouldn't have let us kill or dismiss companions at all.

And if you're not willing to sell out anyone in the Great Game, you're clearly not playing it right. I just find it amusing how much squeeing Buffalo Vivienne is getting as compared to Adrian, given the respective hints at their personalities. Maybe because Vivienne supported the status quo.

Possibly. I'm just saying that we don't know her enough of her. If she turns out to be a pro-Circle Adrian, I'll dislike her as much I dislike Adrian. After all, my opinion of Fiona and Rhys are better than the one I have of Adrian.
I disagree on companions. If you disagree with them or reach a crysis point, you should be able to dismiss or kill them.

She framed Rhys for murder for her own personal gain???

She forced the entire thing.

What ? You are wondering why people aren't squeeing over Adrian ?

Adrian is ruthless but that's all. She's irrational, she has no sense of responsability and intelligence. With that woman as a leader, I'm pretty sure all the mages will fall.
