That has never been done, as long as I've been at Bioware. It may have happened on BG2, but that was before my time. The writer that handles the character writing also handles the romance for that character. The only time when another writer might write lines for a character that is not theirs is in plot writing or banter writing, but the main writer for that character will usually do a pass on those lines to make sure it is consistent with the character's voice.

To be honest, about Sera,I get the feeling she will be like Isabela but not romanceable this time unlike in DAII. A  very good friend, and  very funny. She could be the new Aveline. Or maybe it's again me with my ridiculous wishful thinking. ( yeah because if Sera isn't an LI.... you see what I mean....   )

 

I sort of picture her like a female Varric.

But with lots less chest hair.

 

Edit: I also have the feeling she won't be available for romance, though. My guess is that Vivienne and Cass will be the romanceable ladies.

I think lore states that those from Rivain are darker skinned.  I thought they did a great job with Isabella's makeover in DA2.  For me, her skin tone looked more natural in DA2.  Thedas is a big place and its nice to finally see the diversity in characters.

First it was mentioned she was next in line to be First Enchanter, probably in Montsimmard as we saw or heard hide nor hair of her in the White Tower in Asunder; then Cassandra calls her First Enchanter in the PAX demo, and now shes apparently the Enchanter to the Imperial Court in her character kit...

She's Enchanter to the Imperial Court so she probably would reside at the palace. Considering that most of the Circle is either disbanded or severely understaffed, Vivienne might be the highest-ranking member of the branch in Montsimmard and therefore First Enchanter.

I think that is evidence of her character being edited over the course of the game development. I would say that the more recent descriptions trump older ones.

With regards to the Mage herself, I have a feeling that I'm not going to get along with her. She's probably adept at courtly intrigues and crypto-fashion. She also would seem to regard others as inferior due to the nature of their wardrobe or social standing, which will only serve to aggravate me. If she's going to whine about breaking nails and muddy shoes and chilled monkey brains like Willie Scott in Temple of Doom, I will be leaving her in the nearest keep.
