God. God I hope I have the chance to steal her hat for my own character.
Me too!!!

I love girly girls too, especially when they are not frightened to admit it.
Some people especially on internet would love to think that girly girl =/ gamer; but this is absolutely ridiculous and stupid. ( I'm even shocked that some women can think that way
) I have some girly friends who could kick their ass with Call of duty whenenever they want. Many dudes would kill themself if they knew who killed them so easily. ![]()
I hope to god that my mage female PC can look as fabulous as Vivienne ! Give us nice outfits, nice boots, nice hats, nice makeup Bioware ! I'd hate being a ridiculous peon before Vivienne, I have some high standards too after all. ![]()
I think she looks absolutely stunning. Gonna be hard choosing between her and Cassandra with my female Inquisitor... if they're gonna be both romanceable with one, that's it.

*inquisitor walks around the keep until he hears a racket in one of the halls*
Vivienne: No! this will certainly not do! At all! Do you want the soldiers to think us their equals?
Cassandra: And what would you have us do?! Strip our defenses bare and brand us a target with your garish colours?
Vivienne: My dear, if you want to strengthen the keep fine, but I will NOT stand to have us look as commoners in the process. And as for garish, those hearts you wear my dear seeker, I can't even find a suitable comment for those...things.
Cassandra: Why you little orlesian bitc*varric stops her*
Varric: Ladies, ladies! Can't we all just get along? I'll tell the Inquisitor our Keep needs more armaments and some drapes and ribbons.
Bianca likes to dress up sometimes as well.

I can just imagine it now. Vivienne will be awesome!
I hope this quote works bc I'm on mobile and I can't tell
That is going to be so hard, but I have such a bad feeling that both of them will not be available for romancing and it'll be an either/or type of thing.
Obviously they're both incredible characters that are not solely made for that purpose, but it would be really nice to have the two options. I think Cassandra does have a stronger chance than V in terms of LI, but no matter what, ill be happy ☺️
Oh, definitely. That little of her they've shown us in the demo made me sure I'm going to absolutely adore her regardless of romance or not (and my first inquisitor is gonna be a dude, so I'm not really going to care if they're romanceable at all on the first playthrough). Sassy ladies who take no **** from no one are up on the top on my list of favourite type of characters.
I am convinced Cass is going to romanceable, though, considering the comment made by that dev on her thread. And if the "crush" comment Varric says in DA2 means anything, there are high chances she is available to both inquisitors. I like to think positive, at least. ![]()

I think Bianca is "dead," as Varric finally got over the original woman whom his crossbow was a proxy for. Which is why he can equip other weapons now.

Except Bianca will still be in his inventory, I wouldn't take companions being about to change weapons at face value
From David Gaider's Tumblr:
Vivienne and Cassandra being awesome.
Screw Inquisition! Now I want a cop show starring these two (and maybe Varric).
I know many seem to hate girly-girls, but I'm a girly-girl too and I'm excited to have her as a companion. She seems sassy and fabulous and I hope we can be fabulous together
Agreed. Girly bruisers for the win.

This fall, from the author who brought you Hard in Hightown and Hard in Hightown 2: Siege Harder comes the action-packed story of the year! A loose-cannon Seeker on the edge and an enchanter with nothing to lose team up to fight crime on the streets of Val Royeaux. There's action, intrigue, and violence towards various inanimate objects!
If you only read one story this year, make it Varric Tethras' Down and Out in the Masked Empire!

If she is like this, she is staying at the keep most of the time. ![]()
Good dialogue though, nightcobra. Also, love the Duessel avatar. ![]()
why make her a fashion freak, especially in a dark fantasy!
why make her a fassion freak, especially in a dark fantasy!
1. It's "fashion" and
2. Why not? Just because it's dark fantasy doesn't mean everyone has to be a super serious dude/lady with a horrifying sense of aesthetics.
why make her a fassion freak, especially in a dark fantasy!
why make her a fassion freak, especially in a dark fantasy!
Several reasons. Just because a world is at war or is in danger, doesn't mean people stop having personalities. Some people, like the Orlesians, take pride in extravagance and beauty. What is the point of being notable or powerful if you dress just like everyone else? If one is truly a person of import, one must look important. It's not a sentiment I adhere to or agree with, but I can understand it nonetheless.
We've seen stranger people in Thedas. People are weird regardless of the state of the world. Get used to it.
There's also a utility behind it: it's the norm and expectation for the Orlesian elite, who you will want influence with. Vivienne is politically important because she wields influence- but her influence would greatly diminish with a loss of respect and credibility if she dressed as a utilitarian and lower-class. If she were the sort of person to avoid extravagance, she wouldn't be the sort of person to rise to the top of Orlesian society in the first place.
In the name of practicality, it's worth putting up with Vivienne's lack of practically so that she can still be a practical asset.

You'll sing a different tune when you unlock the Fashionista specialization. You reach that Haberdasher's Might talent and you'll never stop being amused by how many enemies it stuns at once.

Then there's Shoemaker's Fury, which deals spirit damage equivalent to 1.5 * (Armor Value of Opponent's Footwear - Armor Value of Player's Footwear). The less suitable for combat your footwear is, the more damage the spell dishes out.
Oddjob approves! (+5)
Now I'm just picturing the "horns" of Vivienne's hat taking off like cruise missiles.
